If a WHM throws Stoneskin on your as your Thrill of battle is starting to fade that Stoneskin is 20% stronger than what it normally is. The result is an actual EXTENSION of the Thrill of Battle Buff.

PLD uses Rampart and then gains Stone Skin. Stone Skin absorbs 20% more damage than without Rampart = 20% stronger = 'Extension'. Can be done every 90s vs every 120s (Thrill of Battle).

PLD uses Sentinel and then gains Stone Skin. Stone Skin absorbs 40% more damage than without Sentinel = 40% stronger = 'Extension'. Can be done every 180s vs every 120s (Thrill of Battle).

Not to mention what healer in their right mind would use such an expensive spell over using raw healing, Warriors already have the health pool to take any single hit in coil, the only reason for a healer to pro-actively cast Stone Skin would be because the tank needs an additional HP buffer to survive the next predictable large hit and there is a lul in the damage the tank is currently taking, no boss currently has such a predictable + slow + large wind up hit to make this a viable option.

While this is true, they only get access to the non-trait version of Stone Skin, where a healers stone skin is buffed through trait.
