I do not believe it was a complain, just a statement, saying that even Titan is easier in melee range than in long range, no matter what class u are....what? lol
If you're having trouble in ranged.
WHy the hell don't you just stand in melee?
The reason you have to run through multiple plumes is because your group is not doing them correctly for the ranged stack.

But that is not a benefit of melee.
Because ranged can always get the benefit of melee.
It is simply a "non drawback" to be melee.
Unless attacks specifically target range (and not just range from boss), there is no scenario where its harder to be ranged.
It's impossible for titan to be easier on dragoon than it is on bard, because as a bard you can stand in the exact same spots dragoons are standing.i started with a bard. got my relic bow, then switched to dragoon, now relic'd also. was telling my friend/fc member this same thing. i found doing the titan dance a joke on my dragoon compared to when i played bard having to run through multiple plumes to get to a safe spot as opposed to side stepping for a second.

This game is easy as **** whatever class you decide to play. The first thing that i found difficult or challenging in this game is turn 5. Rest is... lol
The thing with plumes is very dependent on the party composition. Most people run 3 ranged/ 1 melee so the plumes are indeed more stacked in the ranged area. If you run more melees it will be more stacked in the front - the fight mechanic does not favor one class over the other, just the community favoring ranged dps over melee dps (justified or not).

edit: the only time i have ever found it hard playing melee is when i get a tank who continuously does the side step shuffle when i'm trying to get certain positioning moves in.
the only true benefit i get on my bard is a better view of the field, so i end up picking up adds while i wait for melee to clue in the adds have even spawned

My thought on this is that Bloodletter and Misery's End, and probably Heavy Shot, seem like shots that get their power from precision aiming and hitting vital spots. That said, I feel silly when spamming those skills and I'm not even facing the mob. They should really require at the least for the Bard to stand still when using them. Maybe that's what everyone means when saying they should have cast times, but I wouldn't want them to take longer to use. Bloodletter already has a 2 second animation..
Soooo.... not allowed to be the full on "support", also not allowed to do reasonable damage or have a DPS limit break... This is starting to feel like a repeat of my WoW experiences.
And still no answer from the devs.
Bard is not a caster. And i ll repeat it once again (i might have post it in another thread tho), if we were to have cast times on our skills, then i also want us to have access to caster classes dmgs. I would like to point out that BLM deal regularly 600 dmg on their non crit atks, and 1600+ dmg on Flare with criticals.... Now tell me how the *** ppl think that bard damage with our royal 200+ skill hit (no critical) is too high?
This madness has to end.
