Bard Nerfs Offically Confirmed

Honestly coming from Xi i have a different view of BRD. They should have far more team buffing skills. Victory March (haste), Madrigal (att up), Minne (def up), Minuet (acc up) to name but a few. they should also be able to cast more than 1 song and it should be a AoE so all members get it and not be a self spell and have people within range of BRD. BRD for the most part acts like a RNG with BRD esque skills tacked on. Should BRD ever return to a proper support class like it should be, ill happily start playing BRD. Like many jobs in this game BRD simply was not thought out before implementation. Especially considering the previous installment on 1.0 and XI were just better for BRD. making BRD a full DPS with minor support abilities is silly. And yes they should have far more support abilities at the expense of DPS, i mean since when has a BRD allowed DPS to take priority over support? Really hope SE fix this. If they do, ill be the first to start playing BRD ^^;

There is no place in this game for what youre asking for. Absolutely no place for a full support class. Change the game first, then we can talk

I just beat Garuda HM, so I'm no expert on Coil.

Coil is the last part of End Game, now... will it be when 2.2 hits? Is it wise to base all class balance on this 1 dungeon? Are these damage numbers true in other 'end game' dungeons? Do we want to re-balance when the new end game arrives?

I will admit that my mobility as a bard is pretty uber. Songs are great the few times I use them.

When I started a bard I thought I was going to be mostly support, and not dps. So I wouln't mind a nerf in dps as long as it came w/ a buff to support.

Bards are brought primarily for their songs and secondarily for their mobility+kiting ability paired with their burst.

They are as close to support as we have in the game.

As long as their dps is "comparable", and I'm fairly certain its still going to be comparable, people will still keep bringing bards.

If all your numbers suddenly read 5 dps lower, noone would even care.

yet people have orgasms over Selene buff? and you still say there is no room?

I love that people feel the bard class is going to be destroyed because game mechanics will finally apply to them. It is doubtful they are actually going to nerf any skills. They are just not going to let bards fire while moving and have as many instant cast situations. Bard is still going to be sought after because of their utility and ability to avoid damage being a ranged class. They are still going to be an integral part of end game content.

Let's see a video where you keep a silence rotation, pass Rot, and avoid area attacks on ADS; then get back to me about how game mechanics don't apply to Bard.

Complaining about Bards being easy to play when you're stuck on Titan HM is played out...
Bard already does less damage and has the same or more responsibility to participate in game mechanics than other DD's at endgame.

If you want to nerf Bard mobility just because of Titan HM, does that mean we should also nerf Whm [Holy] and Blm [Sleep] because it gives them a significant advantage over other heals/dd in WP speedruns?
