This doesn't count bots which is probably a rather large number. Accounts since launch could technically mean P4 but I assume it doesn't. Out of that million it's not counting how many people never chose to sub and getting their free 30 days and have since quit or people that unsubbed already so the whole million thing can't really be trusted. I would say the actual number is easily below 500k. Even if it isn't, most of the people looking for a good PvE raiding environment will move on by the end of the year probably even further dwindling that number. It's been 3 months, P4 was release for all intents and purposes.

As much as I hate "counting" bots into the equation, They still have to "buy" a code don't they? Sure they can unsub and make a new account, but they would need a new code ( meaning buying the game) to login.

They are just as active as "Normal players" being active, it's just they are doing things illegally.

That aside, I feel like people are jumping the gun on the "Game is declining" type threads. Without bots, I say normally active by 6 month mark, should be around where SE was targeting in the first place 250-300k players. In the end, it's good news for SE.

As long as SE is making money off of anybody ( including bots) then really the bots are certainly apart in the equation.

P4 was P4. You can't be selective and manipulate things to benefit your own argument. It's not even 2 full months yet since ARR release. Just over 2 months if we want to include EA, which we really shouldn't because that's not officially the "release".

It's ridiculous to expect people to stay, regardless of content availability. People will ALWAYS leave for reasons unrelated to content. Likewise, people will join for their own reasons. Even if it were under 500k active post-sub players, that's already a huge success to SE, given their low expectations from the beginning.
