    Anyone Sad about the games Decline

    The game started off good but it just took a nose dive into the boring,easy and dull zone. From what I am reading on forums and when I last played the game it seems FF14 is starting to die. Square might say they have a ton of subs but alot of the player base is just not playing there accounts and waiting for there subs to end. Its bound to happen when you make a game that plays exactly like every other mmo on the market.

    The problem also is, if you DONT make a mmo that plays like every other MMO, people will also quit and complain in droves. The majority of MMO players are nomadic.

    This isn't true at all. They are nomadic because they are looking for something new and innovative in another game. So far, nothing at all has not brought the same magic if you will that WoW and those before it brought. Most any MMO endgame nowadays is either
    1) Rep Grind
    2) Token Grind
    3) Dungeon Grind
    4) Raids are nothing amazing(uninteresting mechanics or completely bugged...see Twintania)

    Once they realize this is just another WoW clone, they migrate or wait for the next popular game hoping it will be something different.

    Every game has been like this, AoC, Tera, Aion, Warhammer, Rift, and quite possibly FF14 considering any meaningful difficult content isn't coming until 2.2. CT is DF which will be a joke and be completed at a max of 2 hours, still leaving people with nothing to do.

    Well, they could just make stuff have a drop rate of 0% as well as having long lock out times. Players like you need to understand that there is literally no way for Square-Enix, or any developer for that matter, to be able to provide content at the rate faster than you can burn through it. There'll always be some kind of limit put in place in order for you to be gated into getting the stuff (see Mythology tomes). It's super cool and all that you can breeze through this content so quickly, but you have nobody to blame but yourself when you've run out of things to do.

    Easy, don't RERELEASE a game which has the groundwork and foundation laid and make wild claims about the game starting at 50 with only 1 dungeon worth doing and 1 raid that can be cleared in 40 minutes with the last boss being impossible to kill. Don't make excuses for SE, this is clearly on their shoulders for their failure. They could have easily pushed the release a few months more and released tons of content, but they didn't because they have shareholders.

    Fun fact: A Realm Reborn wasn't just made for you. New players are using the content you don't care to do. There is more than enough content for a new MMO release. WoW had 2 40-man raids at launch and look at how that game did.

    "one dungeon worth doing? one raid?"

    I think that your problem right there. You intentionally limit the game for yourself so you can get to the end as fast as you can. I'll be dollars to donuts you didn't earn any of those achievements under your own power. You watched the videos, read the wiki articles, and spoiled your way to completion, and then you complain, at the very frontier, that its "impossible" and now you're bored.

    You have only yourself to blame.

    Grats on describing the essentials to the MMO genre.

    The exclusions are sandbox games which always yield a smaller player base do to the lack of "carat on a stick" syndrome.

    I don't think you actually know what you are looking for in an MMO.

    I didn't say any of those things were necessarily bad, but they bring nothing new to the recipe in those areas. That's the problem though, essentials to the MMO genre; a game that will be successful long term will innovate and break away from this design. WoW at least brings innovations somewhat, but even WoW is still latched on to this design.
