Bard Nerfs Offically Confirmed

As someone who is playing and gearing both a Bard and Monk in endgame it makes no difference to me whatsoever I'm still going to take my Bard into Coil and Monk to Crystal Tower. That warm fuzzy feeling I get when I save the group from wiping by using Mage's Ballad at the right times is why I play Bard, the high DPS is just the bonus

You sound uninformed. Archer (and bard) have been nerfed for the last 2 years in 1.0, which still lingers to today, like all of the weapons being 5 points below all other DoW.

Depending on how nerfs are done, they can either fix the class to a perfect level, make them bad, or just destroy their usefulness altogether. I've played several MMOs where the class with the bow was nerfed to bad or uselessness. I've actually never seen a nerf on them that took them to a perfect level...meaning the odds of this being such a nerf to good levels are low, at least in my eyes.

Couldn't they simply just make it so that we don't do 100% dmg while running around?? Or would that be too much of a nerf. I could see it working, would make us have to stand around more, yet not do as much while we are evading AoE and such? Any thoughts from veteran bards?

Sounds like they'll be switching the subclass out from lancer to something worthless like they did for MNK in beta. MNK had Archer subclass, but they switched it since raging + blood for Blood was too strong I guess. 10 to 1 This happens for BRD. Good luck, hope you don't get MRD like the poor MNKs did.

The amount of CD's Bard has IS pretty crazy, I honestly wouldn't mind too much if they tweaked that.
