Petition for Vanity Slots to be released in 2.1 Patch!

Yoshi said himself, it will not be coming until later. because it changes the way gear looks in the game. he wants people to enjoy the current looks, because the design team worked hard on it.

And you know what, having vanity slots will let us enjoy all those designs in the lower levels too! Hell i would argue it would make people want to grind lower level dungeons with lowbies for the gear looks alone. Because you know we kinda flew through those levels didn't we?

We realize that there is a huge demand for vanity slots and the development team would like to implement this as soon as possible. However, implementation will not make it in time for patch 2.1.

IS this a duke nukem forever soon or a next episode of half-life 2 (or 3) soon? I kid. But in reality wasn't this supposed to be out like launch? Id have to agree with others im sick of seeing people in df. Its ugly imo. But hey, thanks for the response anyway! Best of luck!

Little things like this which show how far behind the times SE still is with MMOs. Vanity slots can't be implemented fast enough.

This is one of the features that I(and many others I've spoken to) have been wanting the most ever since I started playing this game. When you consider that after a certain point everyone looks identical, this becomes even more of an issue.

I remember when I was levelling my archer the other day, I had this cool looking chestpiece which made my toon look like a bad-ass character. Then I ran a dungeon, and the chestpiece upgrade I got was the ugly yellow checkered thing that made me look like I belonged at a carnival sideshow. I couldn't bring myself to wear the thing because it was just that bad.

Baffling this was not a priority for launch. Really you have the armor, how freaking hard is it to have vanity slots?! Your character is yours, how they look is extremely important to RPG players. Its laughable it missed launch and still wont be in the next patch.

When I do find a set of gear I like the look of for a particular class, it makes me not want to level that class anymore because I'll end up having to replace it with something that's ugly as hell.

This should have been in place when the game launched. With all the emphasis placed on aesthetics/personalization, especially with the upcoming housing project, it makes no sense at all that we can't do something as simple as changing the appearance of our gear. It's obscene that some people are actually defending the delay.
