Player B makes a profit and receives gil from a player whose gil was obtained from cheating
Player B is banned for 5-10 days of a paid amount of time, and when returned to the game, has went from 1 million gil to 100k
So SE confirmed that this is what happened, or is this just a theory/guess?

The problem I have with this theory is that the person who went from 1mil to 100k probably made more than 100k just from doing quests. So where did all that other gil go?? Obviously no one has the full picture of what is happening.

So far this is what others in some threads that were deleted have admitted to. First to 50. Put high end stuff on the AH for prices that they knew no one would be able to afford except those that bought gil (we are talking in the millions). That is what I have gathered from most of the threads I have read on the issue.

i dont think they Ban people just selling a stack of 99 wood for 4,5k gil total ..... but i see alot of people selling 1 item at 50k , 100k , 200k when they are sold normaly at 15gil , 20gil ... and that is suspicious transaction ..i got screenshot of a player buying many thing at 50k , 100k , and saw 200k ..and all the thing were cheap thing around 10gil to 20gil. maybe people talking to you generate saying i got ban cos i sold stuff cheap ... people exaggerate too much make Dev the bad people cos they are piss off to lose their account. Like i heard some try to scam RMT by creating an alt the same name but one different letter of the one who put thing to sell. Dont think you wont be ban for that you still did a suspicious transaction. And people who try to sell stuff at a rediculous price when its something no one found, thats your luck but a fool choice.

The crafters of 2 Star items that put them up on AH for ridiculous prices (500k-1m) get no sympathy from me if they got banned - they obviously profited massively from RMT and knew very well the only ones buying from them were gil buyers

And what about the battle classes charging 40k for those items that you need 9-18 of those matts to make a 2star? Are those the good guys?

I am not a player who has been banned, but I think this is ridiculous and the worst way I've seen an MMO handle RMT. There are better ways.
While I agree the posibility of 'civilian casualties' is much greater (perhaps unacceptable) with regards to the method, I'm also skeptical of the truthfulness of these reports.

If you are making gil from a person who has gil that has been obtained from a source that is RMT, SE can take it from you.

It's like getting a fake 20 dollar bill from a gas station.
where is your proof/evidence of this? I'm pretty sure it owuld take a lot more than selling one or a small number of ordinary items to a gil buyer.

Yeah...I'm pretty certain SE isn't banning someone who received 4,500 gill from a gilbuyer for a stack of logs. That's pretty small potatoes. 4,500,000 gil for a stack of logs, however...

It actually is happening but, the only thing SE has actually "publicized" is the fact that they banned RMTers. They have no mention of those stuck in the crossfire.

As I said before, one of my best gaming buddies was the first 50 miner on cactaur. Made over 3m JUST SELLING MATS. As of right now, he has @200k left and an email from SE basically telling him that he's guilty. (Horrifically written too btw)

When he spoke to a GM (Took over 24 hours) the GM told him that nothing could be done and to talk to Phone Support. When he called Phone Support (A 4 hour call with an EXCEEDINGLY LONG WAIT TIME) they told him to talk to GM's.

The bottom line is that they're blindingly banning anyone associated with the Gil and they don't have the CS resources to deal with those that were banned just for selling mats and legitimately receiving the gil.
