They already did this - If you were innocent, you're playing again. You only have the people who buy gil and people who "create gil" through dupes to blame for them removing gil.
I disagree with this.
They still worked for what they had regardless of if their items were purchased with duped gill or not.
Just as most of you hardcore first 50's farmed your gear in broken content, you were allowed to keep it...So regardless of the situation, they were simply bystanders.
The lack of REAL Customer Service is actually the worst part of the issue. Had there been REAL CS, SE would more than likely be getting a pat on the back. As of right now, it's the exact opposite because they lack competence.
I have no sympathy for someone who "works" in a game.I disagree with this.

The problem with this is, a lot of us crafter and gatherers worked hard but that doesn't mean anything when the gil we obtained was gil through dupes. By all rights we shouldn't keep any of that gil because SE is trying to avoid hurting the economy even more, if you were on a legacy server above all you'd realize just how ridiculous of prices people are selling things for, some even 400% profit. SE didn't revert your progress for example so you maintained what you worked for (leveling your gather/craft), this is why I said you only have people to blame for losing money (if you did) because the money you obtained wasn't "real" money to begin with. This is why some JP players on a similar topic used the counterfeit money analogy.
And I'm one of them and didn't get suspended - However people said "it works differently on legacy worlds" ...well ok, but I only came over with a "handful" of gil due to them chopping off a 0 and the millions I made were strictly from leveling Weaver and Culinarian in ARR.
I actually do but, I chose to play with friends moving to the game as to continuing 1.0.
I do agree and sympathize but, sadly, there's a double standard.
The first 50's had it easy. Do you see SE stripping gear? I don't.
The first crafters on each server made significant amounts of money, honestly. Regardless of the source of that money, they were just as legitimate as the first 50's. You put just as much effort into that craft as anyone did farming dungeons but, with this ban and lack of CS, you are losing the fruits of your labor.
Catering to the RMT situation and not rectifying the other creates a very bad double standard from a CS perspective and it's also splitting the community...Which, we can all clearly see.
I remember when I use to read the xbox forums and all the people who claimed they didn't cheat/hack their achievements and trying to argue the fact on that specific account suspension thread and being shot down..Just because someone can defend a lie doesnt mean its still not a lie.
Except for the fact that SE has already deemed these people innocent of knowingly being involved in RMT and reinstated their accounts, but took their gil away anyway..I remember when I use to read the xbox forums and all the people who claimed they didn't cheat/hack their achievements and trying to argue the fact on that specific account suspension thread and being shot down..Just because someone can defend a lie doesnt mean its still not a lie.
