I'm the Bloodgaru Queen.
It's selfish and reality. Gain the most from trades!!!! RIP THEM OFF!!!!! CONQUER DA MARKET!!!! CONTROL STOCKS!!!!!
ok.....done j/k. As long as you're the richer one, you'll be the last one to die, that's the truth. And in a game it's not real life. There's no regulations to how much money SE can print. It's their game, they're the god. If things get really bad they will regulate it, and the originally richer people will become even more richer after the modifications. Just make more money for yourself. Selfish, but reality.
That said, my Goldsmith handing in HQ items at level 26 right now, yields 1200 Gil per leve. Situation doesn't seem that bad to me.
Ive created well over 15m since release.. Craft. Lol.
So now that I have thought a little more about it, generating gil ruins its value. SE just needs to adjust how much gil leaves the game as oppose to how much is generated in game from fates and such. Right now the problem is all of those that are holding onto their gil because hoesntly there is nothing to spend it on. So my partial solution to fix this problem is remove darklight and darklight accessories, make vanya, darksteel and heavy darksteel of normal quality the stats of darklight and the high quality version boost it to lv 80, since there is no level 80 armors. How does this fix it, simple makes people spend gil thus keeps the economy moving. Downside, the non legacy servers do not have the amount of gil that legacy has. Compensate those that have darklight already by giving the player what the current market value of the crafting mats, 125 tomes for about 70k so each piece of darklight would yield a different return value. this may fix the non legacy servers because it puts gil in.
Also, why not make primal weapons sellable to npcs(25k for ifrit, 50k for garuda, 100k for titan) or darklight for that matter.
GC seals are also useless so why not have GC sell the allagan platinum pieces and such. Also, with this can have like it was in 1.0, primal weapons give seal rewards.
But as of right now, I am not seeing the problem from a legacy standpoint of not enough gil generated, but more of a players are not spending gil, because there is not reason, go run a million castrum and buy darklight then go from darklight to coils and get allagan. SE cut out the need for crafted armor too much, which ultimately makes players not spend any gil. If they want to keep darklight in game make it as impossible to get as it was in 1.0, restat af gear and make it hard like it was in 1.0, remove all the hoplite gear and such and pretty much force players to spend gil on crafted gears, none of this free armor for a useless tomestone thing. From a non legacy server standpoint the issue probably is more gil generating, but still more than likely has the players not spending aspect as well, so I really like the GC seal exchange for allagan pieces of bronze, silver, gold, platinum.

Completing leves is one of the easiest ways to make gil with little effort. Plus to this is gathering and crafting leves give a huge bonus to exp and gil when turning in HQ mats.
Not a crafter or gatherer? No problem, do some battle craft leves.
Though crafting and gathering leves are the best way to go if you want to generate some quick gil and make some decent exp for those classes.
Adventure, that's the life for me!
People are misunderstanding this entire problem big time. The problem ISN'T MAKING GIL. Stop saying "oh its so easy to make gil crafting." The problem is the circulation of gil, the gil value, and the marketplace prices slowly/fast crashing. To have a stable economy you have to have people SPENDING their money. Most of the players are holding onto their gil because basically what do you need to buy end game? Food? Vanya/DarkSteel isn't needed. People are undercutting each other like mad. It isn't just 1 gil or 10 gil it's been 2k-5k-10k even. The MP tax doesn't really help either. As for the person who said they wanted players fixing each others gear again, I agree highly.

The solution is: Patience
Very nice, that so many people support my thread http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ls-om-50-level . Thank you
I think the problem here is that the price is set to the gil you would get from a NPC as default after you moved an item in your sell window at the retainer.
Many people are too lazy and just press ok without thinking about a good price. The result is that many items are in the AH for the same price which you would get if you sell it directly to the NPC (I call it the junk price).
Solution? SE should do it that the price tag at the start of the selling process is empty or at 0, to force the players to think about a price and not just click OK.
And for teleport, can we have the anima system back?
