    Basically, if you "troll", you don't get a reward. It's that simple. In the end if you really want to go out of your way to "troll" people, go ahead, they're not getting anything out of it and they're hurting themselves in the end.

    You wanted to finish your main storyline, right? Well, all the instanced fights you had to do solo. You couldn't play with your friends, yet you did it anyway.

    If you want stuff for being a friendly person playing with randoms, then play with randoms as a friendly person. It's no different than PvP gear. I wanted a lot of the PvP gear in Rift, but I didn't enjoy Rift's PvP. It was something I didn't really want to do. So I did it just enough to get what I wanted and then dropped it... or just left it alone if it was going to require too much effort.

    If playing with randoms for the loot you want is too much effort, then leave it alone. Again, no different than daily grind rewards or PvP rewards.

    I infered that you meant you could go queue up with your friend and help them and possible get MVP. By the limited information we have that would fall under a partial pre-made theoretically ineligible.

    Quid pro quo... queue up for Normal Ifrit and get 4 people who all have full darklight and relics+1. Who you gonna vote for? Now all the 50s that clog up the AK server gonna be clogging up the lowbie instance servers =P

    2) PvP gear is also different. PvP gear is a reward for doing PvP content and PvP gear is used doing PvP content. Two of the examples given for MVP were mounts and companion armor, two things which cannot be used in any of the Derpy Finder content.

    Like I said in an earlier post, if MVP was used as a token system to obtain drops from Derpy Finder content, I'd be fine with that. If you go in and you're not a prick, you can obtain the loot faster, get that Primal weapon which has eluded you, etc. If you go in with a group of friends, you can sort out who gets what. Both sides are happy.

    And again, it isn't that it is too much effort for me to do completely random Derpy Finder groups, it is simply that I do not enjoy doing so... I'm playing this game to enjoy myself, you do get that, right?

    Im not disagreeing with you here though.. dps for instance are far less likely to get a vote no matter how nice and friendly they are. Tanks and healers on the otherhand are far more likely to be rewarded even if they do troll..to a degree ofcourse.

    You dont like the way I do my job? I dont give a damn what you like, any of you.
    If you are still alive and lance slinging a few years down the road,
    and lucky enough to watch your family grow as you honor your oath.
    Then you'll understand..
    But getting old in my guild is a privilege.
    We die so innocents dont, its that simple.

    You didn't notice that they said they are increasing instanced servers so more people can enter than before. How is the low level instances being clogged a bad thing anyways? That means people are actually trying to get things done. You guys don't understand that this is a good update lol.

    MVP is the same thing. MVP gear is a reward for being friendly and helpful to strangers in the DF queue. So if you don't play with strangers in DF, then you don't get the reward. And there's nothing wrong with that. If you don't play PvP, you don't get PvP rewards.

    Yeah, you can get mounts and companion gear. If you want them, then earn them. If playing with your friends is more important, then just ignore the rewards and move on. Btw, PvP gear is not just for PvP when it has exclusive appearance. You use it for your vanity tab (which is coming for ARR). So that line of logic doesn't work.

    What MVP gear? So far they've only mentioned unique mounts, companion armor and other exclusive items... There has been absolutely no mention of MVP gear which gives you a +10 to your Friendly stat or anything that would help you in the Derpy Finder, for that matter...

    This is literally just for collectibles, something I'd usually enjoy obtaining. I'll make this simple;
    Endgame content gets you endgame gear.
    PvP content gets you PvP gear.
    What should MVP content get you?

    At best players will see others on unique mounts and go "That player must not be a dick, maybe I should play with them", followed by the afterthought of "But then they wont get MVP because we'd be in a premade group if we play together..."

    As long as people can't view other peoples score I have no problem with this.

    Otherwise new players are going to get the short end of the stick.

    It would be nice to see more than just cosmetic stuff though.

    {Not that I want more competition from receiving invites in mere seconds, but who knows you may enjoy it more than DDing...heh}

    Surprisingly, while I sampled a bit of the two tanking classes, I found myself enjoying them. So much so that, while I was originally planning on going Dragoon (I might for the story) more and more I am leaning on one of the tank roles. Sadly, because of the behavior of people in the Duty Finder (as I expected them to quickly become) I won't be tanking for strangers, only for my FC.

    I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
