Guess I will have to spend time slowly slogging through leves for a pittance of gil soon. It's no wonder those RMT organizations are so popular...
Yeah not to mention that many players have no interest in crafting and such

The open world trash mobs do drop sellable items, some quite profitable. Dungeon mobs don't.

There are thousands of leves being turned in each day, all with some sort of monetary reward. That gil then gets pumped back into the market via the purchasing of materials, gear, etc.

So there is plenty of NEW gil coming into the game, you just need to figure out a way to get some of that gil rolling your way. And that part is pretty easy; you just need to put some time into it.

i have noticed it is kinda hard to make gil, not super hard.

But than again i have noticed that you dont really need gil for this game like other MMO's. You get most everything through dungeons, leves, fates, hestes, quests and many other ways, the only real thing i see that you would need gil for in this game is for when the housing system comes out.

For those people who don't want to craft and gather, Materia is actually a solid idea. Put on a set of trash gear for the trash mobs to spirit bond and then sell them for lots of gil as materia. Then equip your good gear for the bosses.

The amount of Leve's being completed on a whole doesn't change the fact that the Gil reward is basic at best, leveling a whole new Character is probably the best source of income at the moment simply due to the non repeatable quests giving out bucket loads of Gil.

The main problem is there's very little in the way of repeatable quests (Leve's give very little Gil when you have to buy things like Bait for Fisher).
There is simply no evidence that the money will dry up. I believe that there will always be those players that are ok with the mind numbing repeatable leves, fates whatever to get Gil from NPCs. Fates alone are putting a ton of money into the game. Again, there is no evidence that the game economy is failing or will fail at a later date when lower level users decline.

The Gil reward is basic because of the amount of leve's being completed. If a leve with a 300 gil reward is completed by 1000 people on the server that day, you just injected 300,000 gil straight from NPCs. That's just one day...

The lack of people creating new characters is evidence enough.

300k is nothing spread across 1000 people, don't kid yourself.
