    If you really think that my intent to fix something that is clearly broken and an inconvenience to players is ultimately so that I can abuse tactics (that I clearly don't have access to - look below), then you are incredibly stupid and are in denial.

    Sorry but I had to say it. You like many others on these forums are whats killing this game with your defending of inconvenient design policies.

    Play any other MMO and look at how they handle the situation without inconveniencing anyone or creating any loopholes for abuse.

    To all of the idiots saying "you can just disengage" thats not how nms that multiple people are going to be going after work. Especially HNMs. Logging hate was a very old tactic in ffxi, and was rarely used past the time aht uhrgan was released. In fact, the only time I think I ever remember someone using it was against kirin when it was OP as hell and took 2 hours to kill. If 2 end game linkshells are going after a world nm and someone dcs, not only does the party need to get that person back in the party to ensure that its correctly killed, but if you have another hnm shell standing there waiting for your party to wipe, disengaging to invite someone isnt an option. The other shell is going to take the world nm the second the name turns white.

    If you are fighting a mob that takes 2 tanks to kill, and one of the tanks dcs you are screwed. You can't sit there and try to last until the other tank logs back in and then continue fighitng to try and make up lost time. You have to sit there and try to tank the nm with one tank where they will more than likely end up dying with no one pulling hate. Its the same situation if one of your healers dcs. If you have 2 healers and 1 dcs then you are at half the man power, and sometimes you just can't cure fast enough to save the people that are getting attacked.

    The fact that SE hasn't even thought this through is absolutely ridiculous and the fact that they don't plan on changing it when half the people on here saying "its not a big deal" dont know what the hell they are talking about and will probably never do anything more difficult than fighitng the level 30 nms.

    I wouldn't have so much an issue with this if it wasn't for the fact that some days SE's awesome servers boot me off about 10 times a day. And no, the problem isn't on my end.

    And what sense is there in that you can't log off if your party is in battle? or leave the party? Or being located on the other side of the universe? SE are just being lazy and narrow-minded now

This is a legitimate problem within your game, how dare you assume that I want this brought in as a game mechanic. I actually feel legitimately angry in response to this. As for these [xyz] instances, disconnections seems to be becoming more and more frequent, can I suggest you look into why?

    Logging off/Swapping in and out members was perfectly legit. That's why no one was ever banned for them. And iirc XI's devs stated it wasnt at all against the ToS.


    And yes, I'm pretty dispointed about the devs response... Just being able to /pcmd a d/c'd member while mid-fight was another function they forgot from XI.

    You're assuming that SE still cares to develop pre-Aht urghan quality content, when they don't. They don't like CoP. They don't like Zilart. They don't like the only kinds of players that play CoP and Zilart. They don't like world NMs any more. They don't like Fafnir. They hate fafnir. They hate fafnir camping. They hate fafnir tactics. They hate fafnir mentality.

    There won't BE five teams watching your glorious ass fight a NM that everyone else wishes was theirs right now.
