Did someone kill a pet of yours with an arrow or something? You seem to love to bash archer a lot.Too bad, so sad that your plans to Archer->Multishot->change to thaumaturge->chainspell->shadowsear->shadowsear->thaumatank punishing barb->archer archer archer archer->pull connection plug if got hate->relog->get in party->archer archer archer archer archer...aren't going to work.
Look, we all know exactly how you all planned to win difficult endgame content. Knew it since beta. You're just going to have to come up with a better idea. You think the above adds "tactics" and "challenge." The rest of us just think it's pathetic.
Archer's a problem job played by problem players. Always has been, always will be until devs stop pandering to the kinds of people who threaten to not play if their job isn't broken. These are the same kinds of players who would champion the ability to switch to archer on the fly and disconnect their archer from the party at will, then get back in it.
Duh, watched them do that in XI for years. Of course they want the ability to do that.
Well you could disengage from the monster and run away, then add the person, it only takes like 20 seconds to leave combat if everyone disengages. And monsters dont have instant regen, it takes awhile before they begin to regen hp back.
You would lose sp/exp for attacking it with less hp, but for experience mobs, its one kill, and for NMs you re generally looking for the drop over the exp anyhow.
When someone Dcs,
either kill the mob then add the person
disengage and run away then add the person and re attempt.
The connection lost on an NM is the only real reason its a problem imo, and disengaging while not perfect would work in that situation 99% of the time.
I do like the definitive answer (well as definitive as we re going to get anyhow) that was given, so now you can either take it or leave it, the system is as it is.
i was opposed to invites to party while engaged from the start. , while i could see the DC being inconvienient, there is a solution. Spending time trying to solve all the issues with keeping hate, disconnecting and reconneting to the same data, querys showing in game and what not, is a waste of time imo, when you could just disengage and re invite. Getting DCed sucks, but thats life.

Definite for existing content. It's subject to change for "Future content" if they think it needs it.Originally Posted by Physic

Abstractly, it just seems like SE is being lazy & unwilling to deal with some of their bad design problems since they're so busy working on content. They should have kept this to themselves or waited another month or 2.
better they tell people now, when an issue isnt seriously being considered than to keep them guessing, or wondering if its going to change. They got to make descions, no reason to hide the.Definite for existing content. It's subject to change for "Future content" if they think it needs it.

They could easy do what WoW does when you d/c your name say d/c then when you log back in you in the party. Players could also kick you if you never log back in.
