If I use Flash, it puts my weapon skills in CD, too. As a tank, it would be nice to be able to use Flash and draw aggro with weapon skills more often. I have to choose one or the other atm.
Oh you meant it like that. I don't know if that would be a good idea personally.

I have .6 GCD on my monk at 50

I like 2.5 sec cooldown, gives me more time to focus.
"Equip more skill speed"
Very next sentence
"Skill speed basically does nothing you'll ever notice"
The average pace of 2.5 s is great, although I want ATB bar to show it!
Instead of lowering the GCD, i feel it just could be a little varied depending on skill used. Just like some spells have different cast time.
Remember when in FFX some skills had different recovery time? Like if u used quick hit, item, weapon/armor change, cheer etc u had ur next turn sooner. But when u used haste, hastega, ultima, powerful overdrives etc it took long time for that character to get next turn.
The main profit on varied GCD, working like a "recovery time", would be another balance mechanism apart from resource cost, so u can have low GCD skills hitting for less damage, or long GCD skills hitting for lots of damage/additional effects.
It also enables adding "Attack" as a TP charging skills instead of current auto attack that does not fit at all combat revolving around using skill every 2.5s or less, fixing also TP starvation issue.
I'm assuming you didn't mean to sound like a pompous dick by not using the phrase "try to", assuming that I don't know to weave skills.
I do weave them between my skills, but as a tank I try to maximize them as much as possible, since every little bit counts. Especially when I am currently hitting 3 or more of them at the same time. Fight or flight, convalescence, bloodbath, and possibly keen flurry or a defensive skill like ramparts to keep my HP a little bit more manageable during boss fights. I try to mash them as quickly as possible to continue the speed of my combo to ensure that I never lose hate. It's not a horrible thing to deal with, but just more of an inconvenience. Especially with all the rage against crappy tanks; I'd rather not suck.
