And don't worry about wasting anyone's time. They're paid for the job.

If that happens it's not that the classes are not characterized enough. The problem is that the NMs (there are no HNMs in this game) aren't challenging enough and need to be rebalanced so that can easily bishot anyone that's not protected by heavy armor.
Bull Shit. I always have to leave my game running over night to get my gear repaired. And quite often I wake up in the morning I find that my gear is still sitting in the bazaar waiting for repairs. The system is stupid, I shouldnt have to rely on some jackass to repair my gear that already degrades way to fast. And I should not have to deal with a repair NPC that charges way to much only to repair to 75%.

Just get rid of the stupid idea and be done with it. Weapon damage in any mmo is just DUMB.

Maybe you don't offer enough for it? Is what you offer doesn't even cover the cost of materials, you can bet people don't feel like working for charity. 4-7k normally works.

Or maybe crafters are just sensing your seething negativity and whiny attitude in your aura and are steering well clear of you.

Personally, I can't remember the last time I finished putting all my items up for repair in which the first ones weren't already done by the first crafter that happened to notice my icon.
Who knows, maybe it's my charm.

I have always offered at minimum 5k. I would always check the item needed to repair, and would add 1k to the amount of the items cost. I even offered 20k once, and my item sat there for hours. I don't feel like sitting around waiting for someone to repair my gear, and I definitely don't like leaving my game running over night in hopes someone would repair it.

Quit being a stubborn fanboy and wake up. Its an inconvenience to the players and it either needs to have some major changes or be completely removed. As of right now, its in the way.

I don't need to wake up. My direct experience and your attitide are clearly telling me that you're just spewing some bull to try and make a false point

If you can't get people to repair your items, then you're doing it wrong. If you're not doing it wrong, you simply lie because you can't stand your point being exposed as flawed.

The only "waking up" i need to do is understanding that giving attention to trolls is a bad idea.
In any case item repairing won't go away, no matter how you fume and foam at the mouth.

See, the repair system doesn't need to be removed. Every MMO needs a currency sink like this to remove inflation. It just that in this case SE has added a step that is just annoying. Never, in ANY mmo, ever, should something so BASIC and required by EVERYONE and so OFTEN have you be REQUIRED to rely on ANOTHER PERSON. Just let us repair to full at an npc, remove the currency from the economy and let me get back to playing. This is just another example, like the surplus that SE added to creating a barrier to stop people from enjoying the game. SE is their own worst enemy when it comes to MMOs, I find. This is another example.

Ok oh wise fanboy, please explain what I am doing wrong then. Ive gone afk leaving my items up in the bazaar for repair in most of the major gathering areas. Ive had him stand in front of the repair npc, on the main steps in ul'dah, near the aetheryte, near the wards entrance, near popular local leve npc's in town, near crafting guilds, near the adv. guild. I'm not saying my stuff doesnt get repaired, but I do have to wait for way to long to get them repaired.

Simple fact is, when I go to town to repair my gear, I expect it to be simple and quick so I can get back to PLAYING the game. I dont want to go afk and hope someone comes by and repairs my stuff. I dont want to spend a ridiculous amount of gil to a npc to only repair it to 75%.

I'm not trolling. The way repairs are setup right now is a legitimate problem with the game, but yet stupid blind fanboys like you continue to defend such a broken setup. Why is beyond me, I guess you enjoy your games being broken. I for one would like to see this game improve instead of rolling over and just accepting broken as is.

I agree with you and never have understood the fanboy/white knight mentality. This is a serious problem with the game, like a lot of other things. To stand by this stuff is nonsensical. SE is going to fix this, I know they will because it is a majority problem and complaint. The fanboys are going to have a tough time when this game is good enough for PS3 release and it is completely different and made for the majority.

I wouldn't know. All I know is that every single time I have something to repair I place it in my bazaar, normally for 5k, or 7k if it's my sword, in any decently crowded area of any city. The area of the repair NPC normally works. If I have a bunch of items it's extremely rare that i make it in time to put them all up that the first ones are already repaired. If I have just one or a couple, then I go grab a coffee and when I'm back they're done.

So either I'm extremely lucky, and I have been costantly for months (statistically impossible),or I'm irresistibly charming, or you're doing something wrong.

Item damage and repairs are a staple of most major MMORPGs, hardly something unique in FFXIV.
I defend it because it's a great way to encourage collaboration between crafters and adventurers, because it's now nicely streamlined and works without hassle for all parties involved (the only way to streamline it more would change the generic icon with class specific icons), it's a viable money sink (and boy, this game needs more, not less money sinks), and it doesn't bother me one bit.

They already have. Item degradation now is very slow, unless you're wearing stuff way above your level (and then maybe you shouldn't?), and the repair-specific bazaar icon removed every hassle in finding viable repairers to anyone that actually tries it.

PS: don't assume you can speak for the majority just because a bunch of people in a forum whine. Forums are hardly any representation of any majority.

Sorry to burst a bubble, but no matter how much you scream, disagreeing with you doesn't necessarily mean being a "fanboy".

Crafters create damn near every item in the game...I'd say thats more then enough collaboration between players. It wouldnt hurt to make repairing gear less annoying. Its a mundane step that prevents me from playing the game. Simply put, I should be able to go to the NPC, click "repair all" and they should be all repaired to 100% for a reasonable fee, and I can be on my way to playing it again.

The way the system is now, players are at the mercy of the crafters, unless they want to shell out a ridiculous amount of gil for 75% repair. I think its like 80k or so to repair my weapon right now. Thats retarded.

Yet again, I'm in complete shock that people would defend such things.

Oh noes, been called out on the forums.

No need to apologize about bursting my bubble because you didn't. I don't remember screaming about anything, either. Also, I don't remember saying just because people disagree with me they are fanboys. So, lol?

Troll harder next time gi joe.
