I don't think surplus makes any sense at all. If I want to play a whole bunch on one class, then why do I have to hit a ridiculous artificial cap? I also don't buy the argument that it helps casual players, or the idea that punishing hard-core players is anywhere near a reasonable solution.

If it were me, I would remove surplus and guardians favor. If I spend more time leveling, then I should progress faster than someone who doesn't. That's just how the genre works and should work, in my opinion. I think every casual player in every MMORPG ever created understands and accepts that they will simply progress slower if they play less. I guess I just don't understand the logic behind changing that idea, especially by punishing hard core players.

On one final point, I can hit fatigue on my CON and THM in about 2 days each (a couple levequests, and a few behests gets you there pretty darn fast...). I don't have the stats, gear, or desire to play a DoW, DoH, or DoL. The system pretty actively prevents players like me from having fun by making good progress everyday on what we want to do. All so some other theoretical player can try and keep up? =/

I'm amazed at the amount of White Knighting that goes on for this game across every single community site, and still am shocked how many people try to defend this system. For every person that claims it's ok or they've had a good experience with it, there's probably at least 50 other people that have just the opposite happen. If the player base as a majority doesn't like something, it should probably be changed to appeal to them instead of the minority.

Heck no. We voted on something like this and if we vote again, it'll still be heck no.

Items should break if people let it drop to 0 durability, perhaps with some random chance of a piece remaining. Items don't really leave the economy at the moment...

I like that idea of things breaking at zero durability. It might help do away with the sheer amount of equipment that's brought into the game by the sea of crafters and in turn will make them more valuable and do a little something for the economy. On the other hand, grinding out in Coerthas, having no means to repair your equipment then losing it due to durability would suck quite a lot.

The attribute system is the only one I'd really miss if it were removed. Judging by the latest poll SE gave us, we may lose it to a system where attributes are already set for us and are dependant on the current class (correct me if I'm wrong). It might make classes unique to each other but those within the same class will essentially be the same barring skills acquired from other classes.

I like being able to create my own build and I suspect I'm not alone. I'm able to change my build depending on the circumstances. In some cases as a DoM I may need to take a supporting role so Vit and Mnd will be the primary attributes. In another situation I may need to change to an offensive role and will change attributes accordingly. There may have also been talk about making each class more unique but even after that each class can still be customised further with attribute points and I don't want to see that lost.

Speaking of class uniqueness, for the love of god can DoM please be adjusted so they're actually useful for something other than supporting? There is no such thing as a magic damage dealer. I mean, sure you could be one, but you're vastly overshadowed by the damage most DoW classes can produce. Given all DoM spells use MP and require casting time, compared to DoW they are severely underpowered. Not to mention the uselessness of Int.

I hope they keep surplus. I think they just don't want us leveling up so quickly as to rush through the game. :c I agree fatigue can be annoying but I enjoy stopping to smell the flowers and do something different from time to time, the fatigue reminds me to do this. ・w・

I never liked the repair thing. I rather it just rot off your body and you had to buy a new one after like a week or so. Unless it was a rare item that no one can make such as maybe a class item or legendery item of some sort. I just never liked the idea of items degrading period. how many final fantasy games do you know of that you had to repair your gear?
