    Not compensated with another free 7 days, since I will have not been able to play for 8 days at that point. Meaning that not only did I not get to use those 7 days that were returned to me (RETURNED TO ME, NOT COMPENSATION, RETURNED WHAT WE RIGHTFULLY SHOULD HAVE HAD ACCESS TO IN THE FIRST PLACE) but i'll be shorted 1 day anyways. As I said, for North American players who bought on the 27th of August, when they fix the servers on the 4th of September exactly 8 days with these issues will have passed (there are 31 days in August). I don't understand how this is such a difficult concept for people to understand. You're not being compensated at all, you're just being refunded the time that you should have had access to in the first place. In fact the only people who actually make out alright are those who buy the game on the 4th AFTER they fix the server issues, since they'll have the same amount for free trial days as us, except they will have been spared the frustration of all the server problems and wasted time that everyone before that had to suffer through.

    Atleast you're gettin the 7 days returned to you and should be happy with that. I know I am. If we happen to get more days than that then its a plus.

    I'd be happy if they'd have actually compensated us for the frustration and irritation and wasted time. Of course they're gonna return the 7 days, it's not compensation, it's obligatory. As it's just giving back what our original purchase was supposed to include anyway, but hasn't been provided due to their server issues. It's no different than if you didn't activate your account and start your trial time until after the server issues were fixed. If they would at least offer some form of actual compensation instead of just returning what they basically stole from us, then a lot of people who are going to stop playing over this will probably change their minds.

    As was said earlier, SE covered any legal obligation to 'repay' for time that there was no access to the server. So i would be thankful for the 7 days they're giving...
    Just because they're legally covered doesn't mean they're gonna hide behind that. Any way you try and twist it the 7 days were stolen from the customers due to lack of access ability. Of course they're not gonna say "tough s**t". But saying that just because there is a legal coverage that this counts as compensation is a laugh. Everyone should get the same number of trial days when they buy the game, and be able to use those days. They stand to lose business if they don't at least return the time that was stolen from their customers, whether they're legally covered for it or not. But it's still not compensation. Whether it says they're accountable for it or not, you're still only getting returned to you what you should have had access to in the first place.

    you do know its the 4th JP time which is the 3rd here... so 7 days. What do you think you are entitled to more? you agree'ed and acknowledge when you signed up for the game that access to the servers are not guaranteed. Be happy they are refunding us 7 days of missed time. further more have you missed 168 hours of game time... NO thats 7 days worth of game time. I know i dont game 24 hours a day. i game maybe 4 to 6 at most i missed 42 hours of game time. but wait... i did play part of that at least 2 hours a night so i missed a grand total of 28 hours in those 7 days of 1017. and they are thankfully giving me 7 whole free days.

    Does the 1017 error and others annoy me yes, if SE gave out compensation would I accept it yes, do I expect them to give me compensation no. If your cable goes out they credit your account for the time you were without they don't give you whole month of service free.

    Actually my cable was out for 3 days and they did add on another month.... so.....

    Yeah, ours even compensates us monetarily (deducted from our monthly bill) if a service tech doesn't show up on time and it's a pretty generous monetary compensation, too.

    Yup. It's pretty much expected of a company to act responsible when the error is indeed on their end. If the cable went out for 3 days because a bear tore through my house's external port, then no - it wouldn't be the cable's fault at all and they wouldn't compensate, but that's not the case here.

    Here we have a company that failed to predict accurately the amount of player congestion, failure to provide a fair system of conduct to balance out "logged in Players" (aka a kick system like every other game has) and failure to provide a quick fix to any of the main problems.

    Allowing a character transfer is a quick fix. Take your 'toon to a less populated server.

    Auto-Kick is a balance system, would be pretty easy to do, and fair for everyone, lessening the player load on the servers and still permitting people to actually play the game

    Adding additional servers/space is a Huge step fix - it's not quick but it is somewhat effective - AS LONG AS A BALANCE SYSTEM IS USED AS WELL, otherwise this problem only gets worse with time.

    I was actually talking about my cable internet service provider.
