    I used to think "Oh AWESOME, I got in the queue, time to step away." All of a sudden, one morning, I came back to see 1017 staring me in the face when I came back from making coffee. I don't understand what's wrong with the queue system, only that if it's going to be SELECTIVE on who gets into the queue then it better damn well GUARANTEE that you are going to get in.

    I do want to clarify that I am not a dissident looking to spread animosity. I LOVE this game and will gladly pay however much it costs per month to continue my subscription as soon as I can actually log in OR enter a reliable queue.

    Same here, I love Final Fantasy and regardless of all this if I enjoy the game itself then I will be staying after my free trial is over even after all of this (from what I've heard from others it's a great game so I should enjoy it). However, the not being able to log in even once has been extremely frustrating, has been a waste of my time trying to connect for countless hours every day, cheated me out of the character advancement I could have made, and the enjoyment I could have had in game. I just think I should be compensated fairly for those factors, all their 7 day "consideration" does is refund time that I should have had anyway. I don't think it's unreasonable to except something on top of that to compensate me for the things I just mentioned. I appreciate they're giving back the time I should have had anyway, but I would appreciate if they addressed the other things that I mentioned and compensate for those aspects instead of just giving me back the trial days that I didn't get to use and calling it square at that. I could have gotten that much by simply not buying the game until later this week and i'd be a lot less frustrated and wouldn't have had so much of my time wasted.

    I think it is right to apologize to SE on behalf of my fellow english speaking morons. I am happy they are working hard to fix the problem. I am upset that I cant play but again I love this game and believe once the hiccups are fixed, it will be one of the best games out on the market. I think the 7 days of free sub is a fair deal. I hope when this maintenance is over with that these problems will be fixed so that way I can enjoy this great game. For all of you whiners out there, stop complaining. It hasn't even been a week since the launch. You all are so use to games that have had years to fix and adjust the servers. WoW had the same issues when it was launched. Hell after every xpack for WoW there are always days of downtime. If you don't like the things that are happening then stop trying to play a game right when it is launched. Thank you again SE for working hard to right the problems and I am looking forward to Wed.

    I don't dispute that other games had downtime issues at launch and expansions. The problem with FFXIV is they've not bothered to take the same route. They'd rather alienate players who can't get in because they didn't implement an AFK kick and they have a non-functional queue than to take the servers down and implement those fixes while the major fixes like additional server hardware (why they aren't using much more highly efficient and easily configurable virtual machines with highly expandable hardware is beyond me, but hey, can't win 'em all) are being worked on and scheduled for a secondary launch.
