    [With Impulse Drive]
    ID>ID>Snap>DK>Twin>ID>ID>Snap>DK>Twin>ID>ID>Snap>DK>Twin>ID>ID>Snap>DK>Twin = 3320
    180 180 180 150 140 180 180 180 150 140 180 180 180 150 140 180 180 180 150 140
That's true, but u always considered Impulsive Drive as a clean hit.

    ID>ID>Snap>DK>Twin>ID>ID>Snap>DK>Twin>ID>ID>Snap>DK>Twin>ID>ID>Snap>DK>Twin = 3500
    270 270 180 150 140 180 180 180 150 140 180 180 180 150 140 180 180 180 150 140

In this rotation there are 8 Impulsive Drive, and only with 2 crits u exeed the damage of the rotation without them, and with Internal Release is not hard at all.
Like i said before i really belive that at lvl 50 i won't just put them in every rotation since there are more stuff to do, i'm using impulsive drive only after the main skills if i have time to do so.
Anyway i'm still lvl 43 so i don't know the actual time i will have to use impulsive drive in my final rotation, i'll see if it will be worth it or not.

I don't have enough information about Internal Release to speculate how it would work in a simulation--is it raw 30% more critical hit rate? Is it 30% more than your current chance? Does it add 30% more to the critical hit rate in your status menu?

Regardless, a critical hit from ID is not guaranteed. And without an ID crit, ID won't pull significantly ahead of a standard MNK rotation. A Bootshine crit will always do more than an ID non-crit, and a Bootshine crit is guaranteed.

Impulse Drive is not useless, but it is very risky. Between crit chance, the possibility of missing the rear attack bonus (hate shift, mob moving), and working in other MNK skills on the fly, you are walking a tightrope - and there's no significant payoff for success.

Well i'm not saying that i wont use Bootshine and i'll use ID instead, infact i always put my ID after Bootshine.
I understand that without ID i will arrive faster at the next BS dealing more damage (supposing that ID won't crit) but since i don't loose that much dps eaven if it doesn't crit i think that is worth to use it.
I personally use Invigorate, Bloodbath, Blood for Blood and the DEF+20% MRD skill. I also have Mercy Stroke, which would be a nice way to conclude an encounter if I ever remembered to use it; Impulse Drive would also work here, but MS is 200 potency and doesn't need to go up the rear.
Yes those are all goods skills wich i'll get, but anyway right now i'm thinking about boss fights, u will use MS only every 90 seconds and only when the boss is below 20%.
I'm not saying that it isn't good, but since it doesn't eaven share the gcd is just a skill to use when is not on cd and it doesn't change your rotation.

Comparing ID to bootshine is pointless.
Bootshine puts you in raptor form so it'll always be simply better.
Fracture or touch of death would be a better comparison and both do a LOT more damage. ID is better for bursting or against mobs with low health, personally i'd take MS ahead of it in them situations.

    Theres just better choices.

Why seems like everyone think that i wont use BS and i will instead use ID?
I'm not doing that, i was just compraing the damage, in this way is easier to understand that impulsive drive deal almost the same damage if not critted and a lot more if critted.
I'll use both in my rotation that's obvious, i wanted u to understand that it can deal a lot of damage and i think is worth to ADD it in my rotation when i have time to do so.

I dont think you'll use ID instead of bootshine but its a silly, pointless comparison. They share no real similarity in terms of their purpose.

Or you could keep both DOTs up on bosses whilst also using Impulse Drive when you can.

Touch of Death -> Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Demolish -> Fracture -> Bootshine -> Impulse Drive -> Twin Snakes -> Snap Punch -> Bootshine -> Impulse Drive -> Impulse Drive -> Twin Snakes -> Demolish -> Fracture will keep up your greased stacks as well as your DOTs, applying Touch of Death whenever it goes off as well.

I excluded Dragon Kick as I'm not yet 50 and I do not have it, but even then it doesn't really change anything - just another skill you'll have to cycle through.

I'm already using both, as i said i don't remove ANYTHIN in my rotation, i keep my staks up, twin snakes buff up, and both the dot up while using ID too.

Let me put it this way:

If you are badass enough to maintain GL and meet all other MNK demands while cycling in Impulse Drive, then more power to you. Don't fix what ain't broken.
