The problem is, the game is already in a bad light. A lot of SE's fans have felt let down the past several years with weak release after weak release. Everyone in the industry knows what a flop 1.0 was and now all eyes are on this.

And the truth is, SE cannot afford to have these issues in two days. Hell, even tomorrow would be terrible. IGN has announced they'll be doing a live stream of the game tomorrow, and if they're unable to login, the media will have a field day with that. One day later, NDA will be lifted, and all the little YouTubers with their tens of thousands of followers each will also rip the game apart if they run into these issues.

These days, it's cool to hate, especially if the subject is a large, successful corporation. There are media journalists who are foaming at the mouth to give this game a negative review. And after the terrible experience of FFXIV 1.0 and Yoshi-P's public stance about regaining player trust, this launch HAD to be perfect.

I'm worried about the potential media frenzy if these issues continue because it will heavily affect sales, and I sure as hell don't want to see a game that I immensely enjoy losing all support from SE and going into a F2P model.
