The game economy doesn't seem to have been brought up though to me at least its an important issue. People have many reasons they preordered to get EA. For me one of the main reasons was to be able to craft and put loot up in the market early on. As most of you know as more and more people get higher up the less value and demand there tends to be for for the lower and mid grade gear. To me EA and P4 was a time to get a jump start on these things. Many lost most of their P4 and EA time due to these problems the game has been having. However some still get a good amount of time in. When the problems are fixed even if it happens now they are 20 levels or more ahead of those who had problems. It is major as far as in game economy is concerned. EA has painted themselves into a corner with this because if they wipe those who played get screwed. If they don't those who were bugged are screwed. I like the game from what time I was able to play and will hold out hope that the issues will be resolved before to much of the player base loses patience and leaves. I bring this up because there are many saying its frustrating but the problems are not that major of an issue. It is. In my clan alone many have took vacation days to get off work just to play only to find out they cant even log in. So there are those this problem has caused rl issues for. I like this game and hope it survives the botched EA. I'm not canceling my preorder. I hope that this will work out.

I think at this point SquareEnix is overlooking our posts because they already know the issues at hand and are putting all their efforts into fixing them. However, they can't do it forever and it remains to be seen if they are able to give a sound reassuring response to its gaming community on how they will be further proceeding from here. They can work a little harder in the PR department.

I feel I have to share my two cents here even though I might get hounded. While I understand the fact that SE should have and could have prepped better for this, because I mean what is a beta for if not to test out this stuff to make sure it works before launch, but I am not giving up on the game just because the servers are down (and a few duty quest and duty finder mishaps), I can still play on the Jp servers for now and, above all else, enjoy THE GAME! The game is beautiful and I plan on looking past the server mishap and gameplay kinks that can be fixed and Pay and play until the game is shut down. It maybe a week, month or several years from now but I'll play til then because I enjoy the game. Others can move on and find another game more their forte and that's great and they can vocalize their frustrations but don't use 'white knight' as a derogatory term for those who don't share your hate for the game and defend the game. Thank you.

Pretty sure nobody actually hates the game. It's more just everyone is disappointed/"hating on" SE (though most of the people here aren't hating at all).
Speaking for myself, I'm more worried about the next coming steps and more than a little disappointed at how unprepared SE appears to be and (don't look now, it's the title of the thread) it really bites into the amount of confidence I have in them as a whole. I understand there's a lot of rage out there that I feel is also misdirected, but I also feel like making excuses for them as the "white knights", which is apparently the term, do isn't benefiting anyone at all. We should be vocal about what we don't like about the game in the forum (albeit should be more politely and formally than I have seen), after all isn't that what this is for? And how else would SE know what to fix if we don't tell them where we think they need improve, and I will agree, there's no need for any name calling or a lot of the whining that is happening in the forum because that's not a productive way to get anything done either.

I just want to be able to access the game. I work fifty hours plus a week. Next weekend is a three day weekend. There will be places to be and things to do, but when there's time in between, will it be on the rare occasion that the servers are up, or will there be yet another 'error' that prevents people from playing next weekend?

The game itself has potential in my opinion, but that doesn't matter if there isn't any access.

Oh I forgot it will be Labor Day weekend. Either SquareEnix gets lucky and most of the users are out with family and Could care less for this game or everyone will be trying to log on at the same time after spending time with family.

This particularly goes out to the apologists and people who say "its an mmo launch, what do you expect?"

If we, collectively, stopped making excuses for companies, and instead held them to a higher standard, no one would ever say "its an mmo launch."

Because mmo publishers would know that even on day one, their customers wouldn't put up with this mess. Have your servers and data centers in place, and stress tested for longer than 3 days before any start of early service.

And we still see people making excuses for companies on the comments section on that link. Server issues shouldn't be a norm. By not speaking out against such things other companies will continue to choose not to be accountable for future MMO release woes. When will these people ever learn...? We have a quid pro quo relationship (for those who don't know what that means it means give and take or tit for tat) with companies. If one side is not fulfilling this relationship equilibrium is lost and we all know what transpires when that happens.

could not click like enough on that... been saying this for along time.. alot of people have come to expect the crap that these MMO companies serve us and say this is all u get and u will like it. No other company product in the world would be accepted in this manner, none. Would u accept a car if the brakes didn't work? or a computer that doesn't run right? etc etc no not one instance would you except anything other than highest quality for your money. I have been racking my brain to find another area in any industry where this is acceptable. No employer would accept your work half assed they would fire u replace u. If you are expected to produce a high quality product why are you not expecting same in return? Sorry I can't get on that band wagon nor the Band wagon that the EA was not paid for...sorry went and got game just for that reason was already getting a upgrade v1.0. Also the band wagon that they had no idea about the amount of people who would be playing putting stress on their servers. They have complete research departments who sole job is to give them the numbers needed to be ready for the traffic and if that department fails guess what fired. The biggest flaw that I have seen is their complete lack of respect for us to not keep in communication with us. Alot of respect was lost this weekend
