14.99 per monthHate to say it guys but had this been the Japanese servers this game would have been delayed a month. Because this is only the North American/EU servers we are considered second class by this company. As others have said this is a finished product this is not beta anymore these excuses will no longer fly when money is involved. Ill bet you even tho this is happening SE will expect us to pay our full 14.99 instead of crediting us for downtime.
one month is 30 days
that's 14.99/30 USD per day
rounding up, you're going 50 cents per day
.50USD/24 = ~.02USD per hour
so far the servers have been down 3 hours, and we'll add another potential 3 hours for the second maintenance
6*.02USD = 0.12USD
.12USD will get you
- ~8% of a fun size bag of chips
- ~.03 gallons of gasoline
- ~8% of one stick of gum
- ~25-50% of a card on the steam marketplace
If you get that credit, you're gonna be a true high roller, my friend.
Welp.. Here we go again...lol..
Just hang in there..
Take a deep breath.. And relax..
And.. Smooookkeeeeeeee..
ARR: All the errors you could ever want for only $29.99. Buy now.
They couldn't have tested it for 24 full hours. That would've required them to have people working around the clock. They wanted to go home. I swear, compared to Blizzard and Arena Net, Square is the laziest MMO company out there. You said you fixed 9000 and 3102.. I can't tell..
You should of tested better.. You should of tested for 24 full hours "Like I said before"
AFTER you implemented the patches..
6 hours is NOT stress testing, at minimal server peak load times..
I have made games and scripted them, I know..
This is what happens when you try to rush a game..
Stop comparing it to other mmorpgs.
NO mmorpg should be released unless its fully polished and ready to go on the shelf.
Which means you should be able to play it.
Not have issues logging in, buggs stopping you from progressing, or even things other mmo's have had that go as far as falling through the world.
Fact being this all should have been polished and tested properly during the bata's. That is the entire point of having bata's... finding bugs, fixing, polishing, stress testing.
There's only so much you can test/simulate in a beta. It's not possible to generate real world traffic from hundreds of thousands of people connecting all over the world. It's also not possible to predict the actions/order all those people will take either.
When you release an MMORPG that works fine on day 1 then you can complain at SE, but this isn't even day 1, this is still day -2.
HAVEshould of fixed
should HAVE fixed.
can't tell you how many times TC has done that
Server infrastructure has gotten a lot better, about every MMORPG I tried since launch went smooth.
Besides if I look at the Japanese servers they seem to be fine so it is perfectly possible.
Makes you wonder why they can't do it for NA/EU.

Okay, so let's fix everything now so we won't ever have problems again!
Go play a different game. Oh wait, they all do this. I suggest reading a book then.
