Read the last few posts above me..customer: there's pickles on my burger, but I asked for no pickles
cashier: sorry, I'll fix that right away, just give me the burger back
customer: ---- that! you should have made the burger right the first time!
other customer: Wendy's is worse, be glad you got a burger
customer: ---- that! this isnt wendy's, this is burger king. I get to have it my way. I make burgers at my house all the time without pickles on them
Do you think they have no right to complain?
No, you just want to troll..
Here you go /gives cookie.. you happy now?
I'm just glad they're fixing it day one! I haven't been able to log onto my character from Beta yet today, but I'll assuredly have more fun once I do. I would rather be able to play instances and take on TT and continue progression than be frustrated with broken mechanics. I say bravo to the hardworking individuals who make games like this possible. While their complexity is enormous in scope, I can only begin to imagine how you identify and fix such a snakepit of a problem (and I'm a technician by trade!)
You can't spell "flame war" without "lame war."
Some people really should stop whining. I didn't even get my early access code (my game shop didn't get any), so I can't play until tuesday.... Am I sad? Yes. Am I being childish about it? No.
Every game has its issues and bugs in the beginning, even after betas. There's only a limited amount of people in the betas. With launching the game gets flooded. Unforeseen things happen. Get over it. It's not the end of the world.
This^^
Early access is the official "unofficial" last phase of testing before the big official street release. For pre-ordering (in my case legacy status), we get in earlier while they prepare for the big release. Frustrating yes but expected.
Relax TC. Also, welcome to MMO gaming!
It's nice that SE has people like you to defend them. They can freely say that Early Access is "the retail product early", and then have people like you insist that it's another beta phase, effectively removing all of SE's responsibility for their errors.
If it's advertised as the retail product early, I expect the retail product. Early.
And to anyone complaining that their local game shop didn't have EA codes, unless you live in Antarctica you have no reason to complain.

Hey I work at Burger King and a newbie at it. xD!customer: there's pickles on my burger, but I asked for no pickles

Take your damn pickles off yo!
/Getsfired.
Damnit. xD
Well technically we did pay for EA...so yeah. But shit happens man. :/
I never been in a MMO Launch before so I dunno. There's tons of folk playing this game so problems would likely happen.
im still stuck with the error 2 code since last night... even called game stop and they gave me another 2 codes that don't work... and still haven't got a reply email from SE ... by the looks of it ill have to wait till the 27th.... very disappointing :-/
I do think they should have extended the beta for another full day due to the downtime, overload, and serious issues we had durng beta. I do agree that this is no longer a beta test, but the problem with MMOs, especially early on, is that they are unpredictable, and often times they can think they've got a problem hammered out, and it will pretend that it's gone for a while, only to later on pop right back up again leaving the programmers with mental BSOD. lol
The truth is, a 3 hour emergency maintenance is no big deal. You should go play WoW, they have 8-10 hour emergency maintenance normally along with an 8 hour maintenance EVERY SINGLE WEEK just about.
In the past I have noticed that SE does much better on that front, seemingly having the ability to implement changes and fix things much faster than Blizzard ever has. A 3 hour downtime isn't so bad compared to the much longer downtimes I'm used to from other games.
The thing to keep in mind is that an MMO is an unpredictable animal, they can think things are fixed only to have them pop back up again or to have new problems pop up from a freshly implemented fix. You should always expect downtime and issues on fresh release, after major patches, and anytime there is an expansion. It's just the nature of the beast. I can say SE handles it a lot better than some other companies and usually much faster.
The best thing to do is just go do something else for an hour or two and check back.
I wonder if it's too late to ask GMG for a refund?
true coming back to it after a couple hrs would be good to do. But I want to get it done while people aren't downloading
