I hope so, because to me it still looks like "If you have a pre-existing Windows account, the Windows CE will net you nothing but physical items." This is an extremely bad move to make without any notice on the purchase page. I may be out $70+.I actually think his response is worded very poorly. Hes not saying ALL Legacy accounts = Standard Edition accounts. I believe he is trying to say that a Legacy Standard Edition account remains a Standard Edition account. Legacy does not upgrade your account from SE to CE.
If you have 1.0 CE you will still qualify for the in-game items, even if you are Legacy.
That's my interpretation of it.
The people that are getting screwed are the Standard Edition Legacy accounts. If they want both the physical and in-game CE items they have to not only get the physical CE copy, but also the digital upgrade. Pretty silly if you ask me.
Which is true, whether you have 1.0 SE or CE. Difference is, if you have CE you'll already receive the in-game items via mogmail source
Players who own the FFXIV version 1.0 Collector’s Edition will receive the FFXIV: ARR Collector’s Edition in-game bonus items (Helm of Light, Baby Behemoth Minion, Behemoth Barding, and Coeurl Mount) for free. The in-game bonus items will be delivered via Moogle Letter when FFXIV: ARR launches.
