Yoshi stated, that we wont be able to change the servers as "old" players at ARR release (which decision i dont really like but well..). so we old players are almost "imprisoned" on these servers.
This is FALSE. Yoshi never said this.

You WILL be able to transfer off your old world if you want- There will be BOTH servers for everyone that you can transfer to, AND "Fresh start" servers that you can only create new characters on.
