My bright pink Seeker of the Sun Male Miqo'te will be named Nunh Nunh, just 'cause he'll be hardcore like that.

Hahaha, I see what you mean now! The line between fantasy and reality is blurred once more!Sorry, I didn't realize, but my post made it sound like I was referring to the name Jacien Visenad as if it WERE your legal name. I didn't mean to convey such -- my apologies. The yous and yours were meant to be directed at the character, not you personally. This is where one and ones are supposed to come in.Silly me.
Also, I am pleased to hear the you are not changing your character's name.
Now, back to my regularly scheduled despair over my name...
Edit: I am changing my hair to black and white, to be closer to my true (OOG) hair color (it is only marginally salt and pepper...but one day it will be Foxclon-worthy. I do aspire!)
Going full white? I love having highlights in just so I can be different. Especially the hairstyle I used, not many people used highlights. :P
I fear I might need a special Jacien translator at this rate! Babelfish, here I come!
My character's current hair colour is a dark blue, but only because I couldn't find the black hair option at the time. I used highlights to make it darker and I will use highlights again when I change it. The main hair will be black with the highlights being a bright white, likened unto a skunk, Mrs. Frankenstein, Susan Sto Helit, take your pick. I will probably go with a different hairstyle, also (as well as darkened skin, as being fair is kind of boring). I fear I might be assisting in a tangent here...my apologies...
I would not. SE has an unhealty relationship with the Apostrophe which i find annoying. I do not find it in anyway interesting, mysterious or special, randomly spliting a word to drop an apostrophe in. I'm suspecting that the japanese consider the apostrophe as a way to make up sounds in a foreign (to the japanese language) way, however the apostrophe is used mainly for contractions (which naturally fits their pronounciation) both in French and English. According to Wiki, German and Spanish barely use it at all.
Most people will simply skip both the prounounciation and typing of the apostrophe for words SE made, denoting the burden it creates, as small as it may be.
while this is tempting, no
According to other friends you're not alone in needing a Jacien translator! I should really read posts more thoroughly. XD.I fear I might need a special Jacien translator at this rate! Babelfish, here I come!

Do a Pepe Le Pew and get the Mohawk hair style with a white streak down the middle!
He he he! Well, we'll see, depending on what options there are in ARR. At any rate...
Does anyone wish to help me in my despair? Console or Ridicule me, but do something, please!

After reading the Lore threads I was tempted to create a name based on the great info, but alas I use a progressive naming convention that carries through all my MMO games ive ever played and I can't break myself from it lol...
I agree that they should tone down the apostrophe usage, but at the same time my name goes back to naming conventions older than FF itself - those of the Dragonriders of Pern - in which case the apostrophe is involved in contraction.
Also, if you consider the full pronunciation of the sounds used for tribe labels (in my case, Yah) the extra letters are removed, and the whole name contracted, making the apostrophe more fitting for Seekers of the Sun. For Keepers of the Moon, they seem more like a way to designate which part of the male's name is a number tag.
