The name is goodI'm totally disappointed (honestly I'm furious!) that this kind of lore is revealed at the release of the 2.0 version of a game I played for 2 years. I always liked to role play with my characters since ffxi (more then collecting rare/ex gear I have to say) and now my character is a nonsense in role playing terms. And I wasted time studing ffxi mithra names to create a good name. Thank you for ruining my mood today and my game experience!
Khira Nurhiyo Seeker of the sun (or maybe not).
K'hira Nurhiyo from the Hipparion tribe, daughter of K'nurhiyo Nunh
But in that case the name will be Hira and anyway nurhiyo will be too long for a male cat. I could agree and change my name for racial convenctions but the only name that sound good for me is O'khira Nurhyo... but the mole tribe? Come on moles? Dodos? Eorzea lacks of aggressive fauna? Y'shtola of the jaguars, O'khira of the moles!?!?!?!?! No way!

I feel I had a pretty good name for a Midlander Hyur, but as a Sea Wolf Roegadyn it doesn't fit in, and while at the same time I'm opening to changing my name to something more fitting for a Roegadyn I can't come up with a name that I like (given the current depth/size of the Roegadyn popular lexicon).
I'm hoping in the future they add more words to the Roegadyn dictionary so I can come up with something better.

Nonsense, there are plenty of words already listed!
Frusklona Doenbroeswyn
Horsambryda Loetrmynawyn
Thosingeim Geissihanthwyn
You can thank me later for these wonderful names.

There are some that work really well.
Rhotryss (Red Giant).
Hollhaerz (Hollow Heart)
Koelkoena (Coeurl Queen)
I'm not sure. While I don't roleplay my characters, I do try have names that fit the conventions. I thought I had done that with Tyger Maimhov. I did, just for the wrong clan. I'll probably do one of three things; change her name to T'yger Maimhov, change her race to Keeper of the Moon, or shrug and just have my mules fit the conventions. Options one and two have problems though. Having a father named M'aimhov Nunh is kind of odd, plus Maimhov is a Keeper last name. I also don't really want to change her to a Keeper. I prefer her skin coulour to any of the ones for Keepers.

Sorry to nitpick, but the father would be "T'maimhov", given you chose "T" as the tribal prefix.I'm not sure. While I don't roleplay my characters, I do try have names that fit the conventions. Also, there are supposedly going to be more options for character creation than there were in 1.0. Maybe play around with Keeper of the Moon, just in case? Honestly I'm not expecting everyone to follow the lore when picking naming conventions, because far too few gamers care about anything besides making their stat numbers increase. It's baffling how mindless gamers can be, really.
You're right. I was misreading the "Sushmo of the Raptors, sired by R’rhiki Nunh" as just R'hiki and combining that with the examples of women with different last names thereby making them women in different tribes than their fathers. So I was thing of N’bolata Raha as daughter of R'aha instead of N'raha. T'maimhov makes it even weirder.Sorry to nitpick, but the father would be "T'maimhov", given you chose "T" as the tribal prefix.
