During these times we feel it would be great for anyone to be able to easily change to the fisherman class, head to a nearby pond and start fishing."

So if they don't have time to do bot or mining or craft they have time to equip a rod and travel to a fishing spot and who exactly is going to do that. "hmm you know what I don't wanna level up this other stuff so I'm gonna bust out my rod and go fishing for the hell of it so I can chat and watch tv or whatever"

Ok.. I get it someone will want to just chill out and enjoy the view.. that's great then for this but what about the rest of us?

I guess what I'm asking is.. is there going to be a serious side to fishing because this isn't it and this is not what I want in fishing.. at all. I keep reading these updates and basically what I see is what Yoshi wants and what Yoshi thinks is best for fishing.

Can someone point me to the player poll Yoshi took that says fishing should be the equivalent of laying in bed talking on the phone.
This is still my concern as well. The mindset that fishing should be the thing people do instead of standing/sitting idle on the steps in Ul'dah is depressing and insulting. I'm a touch more hopeful than before, since temperature of the water might be something interesting, but... yeah. We'll see I guess.

It does feel like he's completely ignoring the player poll he did though. We wanted more content. Not the complete gutting of the class.

Orophin, it was posted in the Live Letter V thread. It's been fully translated, and that was one of the questions.
