


And this is what makes WoW so good in that sense, you still aren't guaranteed to get the drop you want but someone in the party is most likely going to have some use for the item that does.
Having each NM drop multiple items would be a start, the mid ranged NM's actually do this and it works quite well I think.



You incapacitate to increase the chance of the "main" items dropping though, but from what I gather people only kill Dodore to get the wing and that is the only unique item he drops.
Now if he dropped something else which was unique, say an eye or a lens which could be used in a different recipe it would double the chance of getting one of those items, people don't want to spend 20-30 mins killing something to get a frikkin Chocobo Feather +3
