True, but not everyone wants to level every class. I wouldn't want class specific dungeons, but achievments for doing it with a single class would be nice. Or a step further, have a check at the end of a certain dungeon, if all jobs are the same, a special boss of that job spawns with rare drops for that job.
I'd love melee/magic only chambers with jobs locked in dungeons, but only if there are 1-2 things for the left out jobs to do...Something like the traps in AC from GW2, that way the magic users don't just sit around doing nothing or whacking a mob for tiny amounts of damage in melee chambers and vice versa.

Then they shouldn't feel bad about not participating in a dungeon that would require and reward a job they don't use or have no interest in.
I don't quite see the dilemma here. The system would only be as restrictive as the players restrict themselves. I mean, you're already missing out on ARC quests, gear, and game play if you just play as a PLD. What's the harm of a dungeon that cam change "enemy layout/boss weaknesses/rewards/pathways"?

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

Resource police! :P
Its hardly wasted resources when the resources are 90% complete (recycling). If they designed one time content that was highly exclusive I could see this argument moving further, though honestly where did the resource counting birth from? Yoshida can tell us what resources he has available, for all we know (.0001% likely) Yoshida has a whole team sitting on their thumbs waiting for someones idea. That and I'm sure he has a list of rainy-day ideas.

Well, you can recycle those resources and use the same assets to make different fights for each job. But a party consisting of a single job sounds kinda silly. I'd rather be seeing a solo fight that's challenging and is tailored to that job's strengths and weaknesses. XI did have a handful of solo boss battles, most of which varied depending on the job you used.
