A mounts matter

I thought the idea was Chocobo are our main mounts and can fight and have a tree system for healer,tank,dps and other mounts are just for show does noting but look pretty.

Is this with response to Kallivis or are you explaining Yoshida's reasoning.

If you are trying to explain Yoshida reasoning for mounts then I don't agree... I think mounts are really only for show and to increase movement speed (this is not to say that some mounts should be faster than others)...

Yoshida said he wanted to make it so that chocobo could fight (I think)... which means that he might give mounts (not the clothing but the actual beasts) different stats that we can raise (chocobo higher evasion and dex than goobue, but goobue higher hp and str than chocobo)...

although now that I think about it, it would make sense that we could give chocobo armor to better defend if they fight but they would probably decrease movement speed rather than increase it since it would probably be heavier and meant for fighting only...
