You have to be stupid, to not try the game out first before doing something as putting a " Lifetime Sub". The game has to be entertaining enough for the person to even consider doing that option.

You're doing the usual mistake of judging a commercial move on your personal values.

Money has a different value for different people. There are a ton of people around for which 300 bucks are less than a fifth or a tenth or less of their monthly wage, and they have no problem dropping that kind of cash to support a game they're excited about, receiving a fair advantage in exchange.

I suggest checking kickstarter. That'd give you a fair example on how much money many people are willing to drop on a game that hasn't even started development.

I'm not saying everyone would do that option if they offered it, but if that were to be the case where would there money come from exactly?

"you're making a mistake" is not an attack. And you do that mistake often, like many others around here, so it's "usual".

It's a statistically impossible option, as obviously there are millions of gamers that can't afford dropping that kind of money all at one time, without even counting those that aren't willing.

And mind you, even if we wanted to waste our time discussing impossibilities, if say even only 500,000 people were to subscribe to the game (and that'd be a fairly modest playerbase for an AAA MMO) and them all were inspired by God to do a lifetime subscription, that'd mean 150 million dollars dropped on the game at release, without counting box sales.

I'm rather sure Wada and Yoshida would improvise a little ballet in their offices if that was to happen.

If you don't want to partake of the lifetime sub than fine. I did see that you might be interested in a yearly payment system though. That was a great point to bring up, but to list in your personal opinion wither this or that will be implemented don't matter to anyone. It up to SE in the end so let just implement ideas and let them choose what is best. More options are better than a few which we currently have now. Something people need to learn is that If you post a thread on the forums it is up for debate. It's not agree with my thread or you are a troll... When devs read threads they need to see how people think on a topic for both sides.

Seriously, no one is "crapping" on anyone or anything. People are entitles to their opinions, of course. But you should understand that when people post their opinions on a subject on the internet, they open the door for people to post how they agree or disagree with it.
