Lifetime Sub? Not many people can afford a big chuck of change like that. Year Subs? Yes I would hop on that actually.

Year or lifetime?
I mean if they offered lifetime and it was reasonably priced and I could afford it then I would do lifetime. But when I look at the reality of things, would SE resort to a Bankruptcy tactic to snare away money, when there game is good enough to just pay monthly/3 months/6 months/ 1 year? Yes I feel a Lifetime Sub is a Bankruptcy tactic.
It is "to me" so like others have said.. if something seems like an attack to someone else.. just apologize for the trouble and don't do it again. " It's that simple" as you call it. and it will avoid pointless encounters such as this one."you're making a mistake" is not an attack. And you do that mistake often.
Annnnyways, forget about it. Like I said I feel this would be a "last resort" move if they really needed the money in bulk. I just don;t see the need for them to do it as a company, that has it's head well above water.
Your right it is a "Commercial move" when given the circumstances that need to arise for any company to go that path. You can say " I'm wrong" but that doesn't change how I feel.. about that kind of "move" for a company to make. So your wasting your time trying to prove something that you "feel" is right.And you're wrong. It's simply an established commercial move in the MMORPG field, that rather obviously has nothing to do with Bankruptcy.
If they offered me lifetime and it was at a good price I would buy it, but I wouldn't encourage them to use it though. You can if you want to, but not me :P.

An apology is not owed just because it's demanded.
Only, that's not what it is. And ALL companies benefit from large quantities of money dropped on them all at one time. No matter their solidity. Even more so publicly traded companies, as income attracts investment.Annnnyways, forget about it. Like I said I feel this would be a "last resort" move if they really needed the money in bulk. May be only me, but I get a real bad vibe when a game offers a lifetime sub. I take it as their way of saying "we know we're not going to have a huge subscriber base so we're going to trick people into shelling money out to us upfront then go F2P and eventually shut down or open a cash shop". STO did it, as did TSW.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Yeah, that's one major reason why I don't trust lifetime subs. I'll stick to a Year and Below subs.May be only me, but I get a real bad vibe when a game offers a lifetime sub.
