Positive Reactions to FFXIV:ARR

I keep seeing comments on the other gaming websites with people complaining, "I won't play the game unless it's F2P. I won't pay for it." I keep saying to myself, "Well tough luck."

People expect every MMO to be "F2P" or they won't play... well When you have a " High-Quality" game with awesome Graphics, Music, 3 Major Storylines ( big) etc etc.. I wouldn't want the game to be F2P... is it that hard to pay 10-15 bucks a month for an awesome game? ( Let's all hope it's awesome anyways ).

The most popular game brands sell their games at full retail price cost of 40-60$ and its hard to find a good game that gives you 40 hours of gameplay ...for legacy members thats around 6 months of gameplay ...and with Yoshi-P's new engine they can create new content monthly if they feel like it and add it faster to the game .

The most popular game brands sell their games at full retail price cost of 40-60$ and its hard to find a good game that gives you 40 hours of gameplay ...for legacy members thats around 6 months of gameplay ...and with Yoshi-P's new engine they can create new content monthly if they feel like it and add it faster to the game .

What strikes me about ARR is that it's not going to be sold at retail for a high price. I think I saw it being sold for $30 on Amazon (that could've been a suggested price), so who knows. Besides, I'd rather pay a monthly fee so we could help fund the devs who poured their sweat, blood, and tears into making the game. And they have done that with this remake and deserve the credit. So for me, it truly is "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

I'm not sure if thats the official price... I think it will most likely be $40-50 for SE and $50-60 for CE...

Somehow I keep hoping the monthly fee helps players find reasons to enjoy the game to justify spending the money, and that the fee also helps deter all but the more enthusiastic players, resulting in a more positive community. The XIV forums have taught me otherwise. Maybe I'll get my wish when the game finally launches.
