hmm... there are reasons people being vague or unreasonable faith on something...
well hmm from video
lv9 you have 142 cp.
#1 skill Standard synth cost 0 cp.
#2 skill standard touch cost 22 CP.
#3 skill Master's mend cost 66 CP.
if you are crafting that lv10 plumped maple shortbow... pause the video you will see at lv9 durability 60 difficulty 28
/cough
so that means if each action cost 10 durability you have 6 action chance. I guess, just guessing, the difficulty similar to gathering chance, higher difficulty your each action have lower success chance.
/cough
if action blow up is nothing gain. you lose one chance.
At lv9 you can see you need 23 progress to complete, and each Standard synth give you 12. so you need 3+ action chances to complete (cus multiple of them might fail). then you have 3- other action slots to use whatever, probably Standard touch. However that will need 66CP. you have 142 so not a big deal. You will have 10cp left. if you failed any of them you still have 86 cp to pop master's mend to get 3 more action chance. then you out of cp can't do anything but progress. if you can somehow hax and add 12 more cp, you gain one more chance to standard touch.
At lv10
#1 0CP
#2 24CP
#3 70CP
same plumped maple shortbow still durability 60 difficulty 28 (<-- weird it didnt decrease something must be wrong) /think
so...I assume each standard synth still give you 12 progress (/trap) you still need 3+ chance to complete. you have 3- chance to standard touch... that need 72 CP with #3 70 you only have 5 cp left. to gain another standard touch chance you need additional 19CP. it's all math here not from my dream...
so if this continue to lv12 you might have to choose should I standard touch or should I save my craft and pop master's mend...
I wonder what will happen if you increase craftmanship or magic craftmanship... /think
