Global Alpha Test Start Date

Yeah, I suspect they're just as tired of all the crying over alpha invites as we are. You know, it's always been my dream to work for Squeenix and make games for them, yet I almost dread what will come if my dream were ever to come true. I have terrible babysitting skills. I haven't the patience for whining kids, lol.

Well becoming director takes a long way up, and I hope you don't want to get on the PR team, because as awesome as they are, I guess it's one of the hardest jobs, to deal with all the forums. Not just the whiny people now with the alpha, but the grass, the animations, or whatever... We all know FFXIV got to a bad start, so we should show support and respect for the devs, instead of whining so much, as a community.

It's OK to pinpoint what we don't like in the game, and I see lots of constructive criticism threads, but there are way too many of the others.

Still good luck in joining Square! I hope I can join too and meet you at the devs cafeteria =P

Here's hoping, lol. And yeah, to be fair, there are some threads with very constructive criticism. It's just the whiny entitlement threads that have gotten old, and they're posted over and over and over... Oy vey. -_-

But I dont see whats the problem with being PR. You learn the problem you see if you can fix it or if it deserves squelching - and then you follow through. Certainty not a job that brings much praise but I dont think people without patience dare apply lol (of course the above is an over simplification of the processes/job... :P)

Not saying butterflies and rainbows but its just another type of work.
