That's exactly the matter. The backlash about this phase hopefully will encourage SE to keep to the rules they stated themselves for the next.

I know, and if you havent seen the thread I made about the PS3 Beta, I'd have to say I'm very concerned about this too. In fact, anyone who took the time to fill out the application are passionate enough to get in. Right now, we are over-qualified. :P

So, basically, there's no proof because of the NDA, and SE has not confirmed the truth of it. What we have left to go on is the word of a bunch of people who didn't get into alpha. Hmm...
