Do you have a source for that, because I can't find anything that supports that homosexuality was seen as dishonorable in the feudal period.
I would like to see same-sex marriage included. As other have already pointed out, many people do not even play the same gender as their character.
I also find their reasoning given quite poor. Many companies today are not afraid to be progressive and make a statement on their stance about same-sex relationships. It would be a positive message to send out. I just also find it eye-roll worthy that, for some reason, same-sex marriage is the only subject they're being tetchy about. Sexism (Jiggly boobs, revealing gear, over-the-top sexy posing) is apparently all a-ok to them, and a subject they've never even addressed as being an issue, even though I know I'm not the only one who has a problem with it.
sorry, ditch my earlier statement. it came from a manga I read. clearly need to re-read it again
anyway, quick google search give me this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexuality_in_Japan
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Japan
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-sex_marriage_in_Japan
tldr, Japan is tolerant to LGBT, but doesn't allow same sex marriage to be perform in Japanese soil
God bless Japan!
tolerant yes and no...
gays are ok as long as in the media as comic relief but you don't want a gay in your family, that's for sure
oh and in Tokyo they banned dancing in gay clubs few month ago and then also talked of relocating the gay district on the suburbs because Shinjuku is too central so people could see them...
so yeah... tolerant... yes and no...
Larek Darkholme @ Ragnarok
haha, well we can say that my info is second hand info while yours is first hand info lol
Said it before in another topic, but of all the supported language country's, Japan is probably the least accepting.tolerant yes and no...

It's too late to ask lol
Oh, i get it now, thank you got clearing that up for me. I guess that when they come for the gypsy, i shouldn't stop them, because i am not a gypsy. When they come for the Jews, i should not stop them, because i am not a Jew. When they come for the homosexuals, i should not stop them, because i am not a homosexual... I do not care what group you are currently wishing to be destroyed or sent to hell, i will stand up. Just because your cause is politically correct will not stop me from pointing out your hatred.
Shame be upon you.
Because every member of GLAAD is a saint who would never go into a seething fit of frothy rage, screaming about breeders and claiming that the "asexuals" are really just gays who refuse to come out of the closet because they are scared. I must apologize for having forgotten that all non heterosexuals are happy shining people who are always found in groups that display precisely the standard cross section of all homosexual and tolerant people. (don't even get me started on tolerance). Maybe you should change your name to show that you will include any sexual preference so long as they do not stand in your way.
Funny how you talk about lambasting with hateful and/or faith based rhetoric. I know i am not welcome to the party because i have tried to help educate homosexuals about their options concerning legal rights and i have been told that i am trying to deny them their rights. It seems that anything someone wants at any time is a right these days.
My apologies, it seems that some of the homosexuals whom i have met were either not real homosexuals, or were not proper homosexuals or maybe just had not paid their dues to their local unions.
Being politically correct does not excuse them. Like most mammals, humans behave differently when in a herd. when one person at a large gathering is suddenly outed as not like minded on a particular subject, the herd will turn on them and believe that they must be also not like minded on all subjects which bond the group together. Suddenly you will find yourself being accused of all kinds of crimes and the previously friendly gay bar will begin whispering about you.
I used to have gay friends in real life. I no longer have any male gay friends in real life. The male gay friends that i had became immersed in their GBLT societies. They lost their specific religion and later their theism all together in favor of that which was accepted in the GBLT community. They lost their diction in favor of that which was acceted in the GBLT community. They lost their mannerisms and speech pattern and political philosophy. They lost all of that, and i lost my friend, then i lost another. Now i have none.
Yes, I am a Christian.
Yes, I consider myself a conservative.
These are not reasons to do to me exactly what you accuse the general public of doing to you or others like you.
The GBLT community in my area does not know that i am a libertarian. not the pot smoking and underage drinking kind, but the liberty and responsibility kind. All the GBLT community knows is that i am a conservative Christian and therefor an enemy.
I would point out the fect that you are being hateful and are filled with a rage, trying to exact revenge on those whom have done you no real harm, but that would be politically incorrect.
In closing to you, i would just say: Go ahead and keep believing that you are a victim, it makes you feel good. Go ahead and keep believing that your hatred is any different than the hatred you accuse your opponents of. Go ahead and believe that anyone who differs with your opinion on any subject must then also be a hate filled Evangelical, conservative Christian "hate monger" who is bent on the utter destruction of homosexuality or at least a return to the treatment of homosexuals from the 1800's to the late 1900's. Go ahead and keep believing that your group of friends and acquaintances are a good representation of the world population, or even the population of your location. Go ahead and believe that the number of likes in this one thread represents the entire playerbase and the world, actually means something, and is not just a representation of who wants to increase someone else's like count and who does not.
Everyone on the internet is called a phag so what makes this any different?
