Joe Shmoe doesn't understand statistics when he says:
It doesn't lower his chances. If 8 people are rolling, he has a 1/8 chance of getting a seal. It doesn't matter if all the other 7 people are keeping the seals for themselves, handing it to one guy in the party, or even dropping it on the floor.<Joe Shmoe> hmmm that significantly lowers my chances of getting what I need out of hamlet defense, I'll go ahead and wait for a different party. But thank you for being honest about your intentions.

I think if person A is getting 5 rolls on an item while person B is getting 1 roll on that same item, person a is at a significant advantage.
But one person isn't getting 5 rolls, they are each getting one roll and doing what they wish with the seal. Yes, one person has better chances than you, I'm not disagreeing there. His chances increase, while your chances stay the same. Which is why I pointed out your jealousy.
if 8 people are in a party, each of them getting 1 roll, but one guy decides he's going to throw all his seals on the ground, what are your chances of getting a seal when one drops?

Yes, telling the truth is definitely a "nice way to put it". I agree. If someone wants to do hamlet solely to help their friend and doesn't want anything for themselves then that roll is THEIR reward for THEIR effort.

I think it's safe to say now that there will not be any mutual understanding on this and we should resolve this situation with:

There is a little Monkey in all of us....
I can't believe how dense some people are... It's simple math. Jealousy doesn't change statistics.
Yea, pretty much. We all have different opinions about how things are handled.... and different morals.
