I'm wondering how they plan to support quest to lvl up for every class there is? Its either shitty repetitive quests or a total waste of time which could have been used better

you would love guildwars 2 would you try to level there aand you will not complain of ff14 leveling system works go ahead and try it youd quit in 12 hours
Leveling up in gw2 is a lot more fun than ffxiv. Actually it's been the most enjoyable way to level that i have seen in an mmo so far. Go around exploring the world and leveling up at the same time. Not grinding the same mob or same style quest over and over.
Yea doing random questevents with dozens of people without communicating with anyone else. MMOs should encourage people to do things together - i don't want a Massively Multiplayer Online Single Player Role Play Game.
Oh,i just found a proper description for the MMOs past wow-release - MMOSPRPG
Tottaly agree, looks like playing events with npcs instead of others players characters.Yea doing random questevents with dozens of people without communicating with anyone else. *Don't argue with idiots. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Yep, I made it all the way to 70 just moving from zone to zone. I have made 0 friends and I'm just progressing solo. This was week 1, so I have no idea how it is now since I'm on a break from it. I was sold on mmo's at the thought of adventuring side by side with others. I like GW2, so if FFXIV ARR can employ it's quest leveling system and promote comradery, it could be good.Yea doing random questevents with dozens of people without communicating with anyone else. While it was fun for the first week once I hit 80 and looked around there was nothing to do ><
oh, okay. so what are your options exactly? heart quest. "live event" (basically a heart quest that randomly pops up). story quest (basically a heart quest that involves your storyline). crafting. map completion.
and map completion gives an okay xp boost but the xp/hour compared to the other options is pretty awful. so generally you're stuck... what's the word...
...grinding? lol yep. grinding the same style quest over and over. that's reality, bub. no amount of marketing buzzword hype can change that.
we call this fallacy a false dilemma.

Map completion is good xp. You still get to 80 pretty quickly and most people if not everyone i played went that route cause they wanted to enjoy the game not make a mad rush to 80. I could see people doing the typical grind-the-fastest way possible if map completion gave shit xp but it doesn't. I know people who got to 80 in just WvW. You got all these different ways to level up but you're right they all suck compared to xiv where killing the same doblyn a million times over is so much more fun or waiting 4 hours for a party invite like in xi(queue up the "I never waited for a party" responses). I like xiv but it could learn a lot from a game like gw2. I really hope yoshi plays it and sees how awesome some of the jump puzzles are in that game and tries to put some in ARR.oh, okay. so what are your options exactly? heart quest.
