I for one will try and sell lower end items to noobs for rather cheap

Sell direct, rich players can buy it up and set it back to median and make a profit - like what happens already.

if it is going be such a big problem why not just start everyone with 0 gil ? prices will continue to be high in the market wards anyway.

The people who have played 2 years and have max gil would probably flip so many tables we would no longer have tables but doors.
