Yeah that still makes me sadBut I gotta reserve judgement (Be it good or bad!) until 2.0 is out..if it ever comes out lol.
If the overall video has FPS issues, how come it only drops frames during gameplay footage?
The frame rate drop may have been an error but the real error was showing that trailer at TGS <_<
as I guess, devs may have their time all they need, but the marketing department is not
Aion Zwei - Masamune
Well shit; I went to sleep pretty satisfied that this trailer was PS3 and I wake up to all these articles changing their titles and content to PC?
What the hell? It's simply confusing now because the previous trailers looked so good, and the game demos looked good too.
What is in the current trailer is........utterly horrible compared to what we have already seen.
Here's hoping it's low graphic settings on PC with some idiot who encoded the video poorly.
At this point I think it would be a good idea for SE to take the video off of their official YouTube channel and repost it once the frame rate issues have been resolved. It's true that the stuttering trailer has already made a negative impression on many of those who have viewed it. However, there are still a lot of people who haven't seen it, and are clicking the play button for the first time this very second. As long as that video is up in its current state, it's doing damage to the ARR brand.
While it would be impossible to wipe the video off the face of the internet (as the net tends to keep what you give to it), removing it from the official FFXIV YouTube channel would at least be an improvement. Hopefully they can resolve their encoding issue and get the video up in its proper form soon, but until that time this trailer is a liability.
I'm curious...why did they show this trailer at the TGS? If the trailer is so old... Wouldn't have been better to show the limit break trailer instead? Am i missing something?
Every now and then SE likes to show the world it does what it wants. No matter the consequences.
