I just requested YoshiP to take down that vid, try and figure out the problem and reupload before the negativity spreads even more >< some might get pissed off for taking it down but at this time don't think keeping that video up will do any good right now.

While that's fine, this is also the same video they released to the media. To really get rid of it would require they email all the media outlets that have posted the trailer and tell them to remove/replace it. I'm not sure if that will happen.

Not all articles have the video directly embed from youtube they have their own video of same thing uploaded with their player.

Sites download the trailer from them and then put it on their site, its not simply embedding the video from the official youtube channel.


Also, as much as i hate to say it, even if they "fix" the trailer, it's still a pretty crummy trailer compared to the ones that came before it.

I don't think rereleasing the same video will fix anything anyway.

I've seen some sites call it "boring" because it mostly features CGI and characters running through empty fields.

The only way to public ally recover from this is to quickly release a trailer that blows this one out of the water.

I have a message from Yoshi-P regarding the TGS trailer.

Producer/Director Yoshida here.

The assets used to create the trailer were actually older than what was shown during last week's Letter from the Producer Live. Also, depending on the area shown, the lighting, as well as hair, neck movement, and facial properties are still being adjusted.

The time period in which these assets were taken was within the scope of what we planned; however, clearly the stuttering of the video was not intended and we're currently investigating this. Today, well I guess yesterday, I went to the Tokyo Game Show floor to see it in person, but since the trailer playing there didn't have any problems, the possibility that this is an encoding-related problem is quite high.

I apologize for such a rudimentary mistake, but once we figure out what caused it, we'll be sure to let you know.

So basically what will improve is:

-lightning and hairs (this was causing the plastic skin and cartoon style) ,
-neck and facial animation (thanks god, they where scary.. i hope in idle animation of both body and face, almost every mmo has them now, and they bring a lot of life to the game)

Texture, grass, and major "constructions" will be the same i believe then..
Well i'll wait the finished result for a judgement

Anyway, even without considering the tecnical/graphics issue, the trailer is still crap.

A lot of fans made looks better. Crappy montage, camera view, and a lot of already seen parts.
I was expecting for much better materials for an important event like TGS.
