It would only perpetuate botting if it was set up like the older FFXI HNM's. More recent one's popped during wider windows and over a much larger area. Botting would be pointless, as would camping.

There will still be bots to detect NMs with wide spawn ranges. I do know there were bots where all you'd have to do is wait in the zone they'd spawn and the moment they do the bot would find them.

Dude it didn't matter. NMs in XI spawned with a random timer and if you tried to claim too fast you wouldn't get it. It was all luck. Bots didn't do anything.

Just like how they don't have time to make threads on the official forum about actual in-game current problems ranging from terrain collision and transportation while NA forum have threads about Missing Gender and cosmetics.

And people want this back? I better go back to FPS, RTS, or fighting games that actually reward those that put effort into their victory if this gets implemented.

not really i seen a bot claim before they use a hack to know where the nm was going to appear. I seen a few hacks that claimed the nm before it even spawn and no one was with in range of it.
