If SE can't handle exploits now, why will they be able to in 2.0?

I do hate that it was easily abused like that. The first night before they patched it I logged in, did maybe one run just to get the cluster. I went in again and got a second cluster. After that I just stored it and logged off for the evening and didn't log in until I had found it was indeed an exploit and everyone already took advantage of it. Now equipment we spent hours working to get is being handed out like candy. Suppose I sort of only have myself to blame that I never abused it but at the same time I never abused the Garuda exploit either. Equipment I have I earned through hard work and even if it's not up there like people who have darklight, relics, or whatnot I'm still happy with it.

I leveled up LTW just to make some gryphonskin gear, the moment I finally made a pair of gryphonskin gloves from scratch using materials I had spent my time farming I was happy and it felt like all that effort paid off.

A little common sense would dictate that game mechanics probably WEREN'T designed for you to spend a lot of GC seals on an item just to vendor it for gil. Whether SE didn't anticipate how many seals people would accumulate or it was never intended that people were able to get more than one cluster isn't really known, but they dropped the ball.

I don't think what went wrong in this event is people use GC -> gils. it's GC seals per hour rate is way too much. That's why the ninja fix is cluster/crystal drop rate not blood drop npc price.

There are lots hard workers, crafters, gatherers, escorters(?) /chuckle, constantly at 50k/50k seals, and they probably have every single useful GC item as well. what if they still working on Caravan Escort? They get extra seals! should they buy more meanless stuff to clog up their inventory? No. They sell Throat drops at ward, sell blood/dawn drops to npc (so they won't need to have an default no option on caravan npc), and they can continue gather more, submit more, escort more.

Well, the way it changed to now is pretty bad. I was sick the days of the easy Seals. I do think it is pretty crappy that it has been changed to an "examine the voidstone and hop you don't get the shaft."

If you are unlucky you can get anima/anima/quick/heavy everytime... with the lag, caravan again becomes the faster way to gain seals...

SE should have given everyone a Coin to black market and been done with it. Make Atomos drop the imperial hats or something too that way imperial event isn't so crummy, make it drop that dalmatica and those castrum novum accessories.

The genuine simple solution is (since they are already craftable) don't sell Dawn Drops from grand company vendors. Remove them from the shop. All problems solved immediately.

That would also vaguely solve some kind of issue, but in all honesty, why do they need to be sold at all? They are craftable items and aren't high level either. If there was a legitimate demand for these items then alchemists would be all over it. But really, last I checked, bugger all people use them and the only genuine reason for them being sellable is to sell on once again. They may as well drop them from being sold for GC seals and instead just sell gil for GC seals, because that's the biggest use for 'em.

You would think that business would know to always expect people to maximize benefit for themselves if it takes relatively no effort. This applies most in the gaming communities, where the quick and easy way out is almost always preferred. TERA nexus is a good example of what not to do for gear this Atomos event mimics that to an extent...
