You were unlucky? Just because you got the killshot a bunch of times (assuming we're going by the killshot=loot method) doesn't guarantee you a drop. You still have to deal with the drop rate which in this case doesn't appear to be on your side.

Try reading what I was responding to before you jump to conclusions. He was saying killshot gets the hat. I was saying I got killshot, and then hat dropped randomly to the party who had claim and not to me who had the killshot. I can't believe I have to spell it out for you.

So you know for a fact that the party with the claim got a hat drop even though you killed it? I suppose if they are in your linkshell they'd be truthful about that. But as I watch the vid, it seems like they got water shards despite the mobs they are fighting being purple to them.

But even so, I see where Fusion is coming from. Killshot isn't a 100% drop either to your loot list. My group farmed these things on the 2nd day to ourselves and only seen one hat out of 6 H-1s and 20-something Imperial Elites. People really need to stop acting like these drop rates are practical.

Getting mixed messages about the whole thing now so everything has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Careful. Shards dropping is a condition of participation in a battle, not the claiming mechanic.
