I'm not saying it can't work. I'm just saying, I get worried when people try to fix things that are not broken.

That combat looked incredibly fluid, much like what this game should have been like at launch. So long as they keep the combo system working as it already does, I have almost nothing to complain about in terms of combat for this game.

You know SE is going to do the battle system right...they have in all the FF's (yea even 1.0)...they aren't stupid an it won't be a spam fest with no strategy. No need for panic... The game is in good hands now.
And if people are smart they won't unload all their TP at the start or else your tank will /murder you and you will be shunned as a noob
Don't worry peeps... It'll be just fine.
yeah they did combat right in 1.0... yet they have re-done it 3 times already, and one more is coming.
Yup sounds legit.
Tho! The combat looks way better in that video that currently, they are making progress in the right way.

3x? I only remember 1 major overhaul by switching the broken regiments to combo system...(not talkin about mp refresh) I honestly think the combo system was awesome. Starting with Full TP in 2.0 is gonna be amazing and def add a new twist on how to approach a mob and deal with it without being a moron and Zerging it and making hate bounce and then complain why you wiped
As far as mages being in same level with DD well I don't think that will be even remotely close...they still are magrs and stl have a role....even starting at Full MP doesn't change a thing...it's all gonna come down to hate management and you are still gonna have to know how to play your role.
I'm assuming TP an MP generation will remain the same as they are now (unless I missed them stating otherwise, if that's the case then my bad...too much info ATM)

I like the idea of starting a fight with the TP bar full. It removes the one thing I hate about playing a melee class: waiting for the TP bar to fill before I can do a single thing. When I do have a lot of TP in a melee class, I enjoy it. But the current system makes me stay away from them for the most part. (I do have a 17/18 Gladiator, though.)

Rise Against - TorchesThe angels dance like feathers float, they're here to see and to be seen,
The clock strikes two, the music slows and each one slowly dons their wings,
Once outside they all pair off and hand in hand they leave
But I'm still waiting, yeah, and I'm still waiting

Played since beta...I know you had regiments...then nothing and having to touch an Aetheryte to regain stuff to mana refresh then combo system...I'm not attacking anyone I'm saying they know what they are doing...they F'd up with regiments and gave us combo system. They, at this point, know what to implement and what not to...
hey hey...remember that bar called "Stamina" ?
Aion Zwei - Masamune

The current stuff they showed for 2.0 look very good indeed, but you can't say battle has been fine since 1.0 since it was terrible. And you're only talking about regiments and combos which is small stuff. Did you forget that at first we had:
- 3 little stamina bars that filled with time
- then 1 huge stamina bar
- no auto-attack
- almost completely different abilities/spell sets
And that's only the stuff from the top of my head. The battle in 1.0 was changed many times before they got to a decent thing we have now.
