wait til this guy do darklight
Read my posts. Practically all of them state my main reason as to why I'm focusing on Ifrit and Moogle.
Wait till this guy gets a working brain.
I wouldn't care in the least bit about the drop rates on primal weapons if it weren't for the fact that they're likely to be unobtainable come 2.0. The clock is ticking. I feel like it's extremely unfair for someone who has been a loyal and dedicated player on this game and has actually completed all the endgame content at least a handful of times to not have a sure way of obtaining items which will be removed. Having primal weapons in 2.0 will basically say "I was here in 1.x and was dedicated enough to experience the endgame". So I can imagine someone who has been here from the start feeling really shitty about not being able to get their primal weapons before the servers go down. Especially the ones who have rightfully earned them but just have horrid luck. That's kind of a slap in the face for your loyal supporters.
A very serious, and I think fair suggestion would be to dramatically increase the drop rates/alter the primal loot system about a month or so before the servers go down. This would give those who have rightfully earned their weapons a chance to get them before time runs out. I doubt this would happen, but at that point, having that "carrot on a string" will no longer be necessary. It will no longer about be about stretching the content out, and more about giving people who are capable of consistent wins what they deserve.
Can anyone think of a reason for them not to consider this?

I don't see them increasing anything due to their ability to turn into huge amount of seals, they are not gonna change something because you feel entitled too. You are given legacy status as player that stuck for all this years, you are not entitled to anything else. If they want to change it, great, but don't hold your pants.
If you really want ifrit/moogle weapon, then start spamming it or start buying inferno totem/moogle nut from others. But, probably not since some people do like shit handed to them in a silver platter.
If they wanted Ifrit and mog to work like Garuda, it would have been done.
I had gotten Mog bow early, maybe 3rd run. An LS mate had been after it for ages, somewhere around 100+ runs i'm sure. I felt so bad that my second class to 50 changed to archer, just so it wouldnt sit in my retainer forever. The "cool" feeling of getting a drop didn't least nearly as long as my sadness that my LS mate. despite so many attempts, didn't get it.
They gave me Grats, but you know insides they we're getting frustraited. This shouldn't be the reactions people get from a game, especially after doing content 100+ times.
Some folks have said without low drop rates no one would do it any more. But i would wager it would be alot easier to get a group for something if people weren't burned out from "having" to do it so much. Hamlet is a fair example.
The count of LS members who ever want to go near a Hamlet again has dwindled. in part because to start their relic quest, they had to do so many with no idea of how many they would need. Which do you think is easier to convince?
The person who did it X amount of times, had a fair idea of how many it would take, and maybe got a lucky drop here and there. And is done.
Of the person who keeps doing it, with no taniable end in sight, and when finally done, feels liberated that they never have to do that content again?
I heard way more "I'm finally free of Hamlet" than "i finally got all my seals" as the first words when someone finished.
Pure RNG extends content at a price. Sometimes the price is anyone who wasn't done with the first wave. Its often hard enough to get a group for older content, i see no reason to make it even harder.
Myself, the LS had a moogle party that was STUPIDLY lucky one night. Everyone (except one guy ; ; so sorry man) got 1-3 weapons. I count myself lucky when i got 2, and have no real interest in it now. Ifrit is stingy on me, and am losing interest there too. (Zero Ifrit weaps) But i'm taking a pass on it before i'm so burned out on it that i won't help otheres do it once in a while.
People not doing it cause its not new is different than people not doing it cause it makes them sick, or makes them recall a level of frustration they have no interest in remembering.
If this was accurate, I'd be done by now. I've won ifrit well over 20 times and have 5 totems (and 3 weapons, all for classes I haven't played to 50 yet)+/-20 wins = 1 weapon with totems = progression.

Spot on! I completely agree. As I said in my rant before, I doubt SE will change anything at this point. They have been stubborn about it for months, and with 1.xx shutting down and a new loot system and approach to content coming in 2.0. Pretty much indirectly telling us to deal with it till they get the content finder released. If they wanted Ifrit and mog to work like Garuda, it would have been done.

At this point, I stopped caring if I get Darklight. 2.0 is so soon and I am sure better gear will come with it. I am still mad however that my months of hard work in those dungeons did not pay off at all. As you said, SE prolonged content, but at a terrible cost. Its a shame that the hard and dedicated players to their game get nothing.
