They have explained what they're changing, just not every little detail. They've given us information about the general types of changes we're getting. Some of it has been more specific than others but we still have a decent idea of what is changing on a larger scale. We were told about this huge upheaval of the gameworld in October, which was released with documents detailing most of the broader changes.you're paying just to use the forums, if your characters are anything to judge by (so youre not exactly one to talk).
Anyways, the point is players will play MMOs with the promise of some degree of longevity. If the developers decide to make a huge upheaval of the gameworld, and not explain what theyre changing, then it's sort of rude. Theyre probably allowed too, sure. It's just shady, that's all.
No. They've been considerably more open than in the past while developing 2.0, I see no evidence it will get worse again.Do you think Square will be as secretive as they were in beta for v1?
Do you think that will only be for the first few beta's and then maybe allow coverage when it comes to open beta? Or simply keep a lid on it until v2 launches?
I would hope they wouldn't lock all of their info for display...I mean, getting interest in the game should be one of the top priorities. And I notice when big-time youtubers cover mmo's in beta, it helps with hype.
I apologize if this has been covered. If it has, I'll more than willingly accept a lock and redirection to the thread that contains this information.
To be honest with you I had a lot of fun in the 1.0 beta testings. I will miss a few things about this engine as well as a few spots in the world. With this new beta coming out I'm sure they will tell us not to leak it, but people will do it anyways.

Summer seems to have a lot of meaning to it, It will come when it comes ( which is Gamescom).. People need to stop stressing of this -.-. " All Summer long" "Coming in August" Whatever, I only listen to what comes out of Yoshida's Mouth ( Which is coming in August/Gamescom). We know they are showing off Gameplay there..that along would be enough information, But I know its going to be way more than that.
"All Summer Long" came from Yoshida, the reps just relayed that message. In hindsight if you look at what we got from E3 to now, it's basically being pushed out "all summer long" -- however I think most people harbor an issue with the fact SE is waiting to give everyone what they want -- solid information at a steady pace.Summer seems to have a lot of meaning to it, It will come when it comes ( which is Gamescom).. I think " All Summer Long" got taken too literally, I think they were just saying that to just get people to relax that information is coming soon in the Summer time. If it comes in small waves in the summer time, or If it comes in one big glump in the Summertime. It all equals to the same information at the time Gamescom comes."All Summer Long" came from Yoshida, the reps just relayed that message. Also, the Website has quite a few information on there as well that I personally didn't know before, also New Concept Art of Ul'dah.
Also, Welcome back Jennestia!![]()
We will probably see a nda for both alpha and closed beta phases. It's standard operating procedure, they want to keep a lid on what info gets out to the public during that time.
that being said there will most likely be some interweb hero's who break it. I think every one remembers the Pookiepoo incident from alpha test #1.
